Mader Law Group was going to modify my mortgage loan and said I was approved for the Making Homes Affordable modification. They never helped me and stole my money. My home is now up for auction and I have a sale date. The Bank said they never heard of them and Mader Law Group said they sent them paperwork. I went before a judge and since found out they are not licensed in my state! This is a scam and fraudulent services!

Unfortunately, I also join the scammed crowd. And when you question their methods, they try to bully you. They are liars, scammers and have zero conscience. They know you're vulnerable, otherwise you wouldn't be even attempting a loan modification. They are despicable and string you along for a long, long time without accomplishing anything. They advised me to be 30 days late on my house payments and that almost destroyed my credit completely. They are not authorized to pratice law outside of Florida and I live in California. I feel like such an idiot! I gave them 13 months of my life! Luckily, I was able to repair my credit, but it took me almost a year to do that. I despise their methods and their lies. I hope the State of Florida gets all of us our money back (but I'm not holding my breath).

I was scammed as well. The website I thought I was accessing should have been a HUD site, but somehow I ended up getting on theirs. They take your money upfront, bombard you with endless and repetitious paperwork and absolutely nothing gets done. They prey upon those of us who are vulnerable and panicked. The first phone call I had with them was with Ceasar, who even went so far as to quote scripture from the Bible, something to the effect of "helping those in need". They got me for $1, 615, and had it set up with my bank to take an additional $1, 710, but thankfully, I caught on and put a stop on it. According to what I'm learning in my investigation, it is ILLEGAL for them to take upfront money to work on a loan modification. I am filing my complaint today.

Mader & Associates also scammed me, for $2K to help facilitate loan mod & short sale. Endless paperwork and lack of response...finally called bank personally only to find out no actions had been taken on my behalf by Mader & Associates. Foreclosure sale date is set for Dec 2012. I plan to file a complaint w/Florida Attorney General. Stay Away! From Mader & Associates. Eric Mader Esq.

According to the Sun Sentinel out of Florida, the Florida AG is investigating a Florida debt relief company, Horizon Financial. According to state allegations the company was engaged in making
solicitation calls that mislead and deceived consumers into thinking they were dealing with a U.S. Treasure Department foreclosure assistance program, when they were not.

Horizon Financial CEO Sean Batcheler offered this clarifying statement.Horizon CEO Sean Batcheler said the Attorney General has asked to meet with company officials about how they were servicing
clients but did not give any more details. Batcheler said Horizon never made spoofing calls under the fund’s name or number, and has not done mortgage loan modification work for more than a year.“We are strictly debt settlement now. And there are quite a few unscrupulous people in that business, ” he said.

The Florida AG’s office is also looking to issues surrounding alleged
advanced or upfront fees being charged for foreclosure services. The
Mader Law Group. Tampa attorney Eric Mader is also the manager of

Oh I agree totally, they took $2800.00 from me and I had to go threw three people and still never even helped me. I was told I would not lose my home and I had to file chapter13 instead. I have every e-mail that was discussed with me and these people at Mader Law . I had to pay before they really even started doing anything. Try to say they could not help because my services could not modify cause I did not have a checking account.; I gave them every check stub and tax returns for proof of income and debit card statements to show how my bills were being paid!WHAT CAN I DO ! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
