Lucid deals is the biggest scam I have encountered.
After they inform you that by simply completing ONE offer you will be qualified to receive a wii, ps3 or other such devices for a low price, and after completing the offer they then inform you that you have to get 5 other people to do the same or you won't get the unit.
The other 5 people also have to complete this whole process, which means each of them has to get 5 more people to do this, to qualify as your referrals... sound familiar, like a type of pyramid scam, if this is not illegal I don't know what is!
STAY AWAY!
RIP-OFF ARTISTS!

Sorry this is so lengthy. Tends to happen when I have a lot of fire behind what I am writing about. But if you want the dl on this site I believe this is a good review

I have been going through all these forums reading this is a scam blah blah. I will give that some people are doing some research on it, actually checking out the site etc. But most of the people claiming scam are doing so because you have to do an offer and refer 5 friends. This doesn’t make it a scam. It makes it shisty because they don’t tell you up front, but not a scam. It’s actually really easy to do. And nobody has any personal experience. Nobody has tried it. So I did...

I created a new email so I wouldn't flood my own. signed up. Did the funpass offer since it was a free one, waited for confirmation (about 30 seconds) then clicked checkout. now the screen says refer 5 friends (who also have to complete an offer). I created emails for 5 of my friends and convinced them to do it. Now my screen says "Confirmed Friends: 5/5" but when I click checkout it tells me "continue to refer your friends!"

I sent them an email evening 4/22 and have not heard back, but I will give them a couple days anyway. I looked deeper into their terms and conditions and found some very very shisty stuff:

I made a condensed conclusion/analysis of these statements at the end if you don’t want to take the time. But they have a new “wow” effect.

“WE PROVIDE THE SERVICE AND THE CONTENT ON AN "AS IS, " AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND”
So the service could be flawed broken etc. but it is “AS IS” and it could no longer be available in the blink of an eye. “CONTENT” most likely means the content on the webpage (statements, picture, etc.). However, it could be taken to include the products they sell. Then the same goes for the products as the service and your item could be anything from perfectly new to broken or unavailable when you go to pay for it.

Can skip between the ...s but read A, B, C
“NEITHER WE NOR OUR .. . DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, THIRD PARTY VENDORS, FACILITIES, INFORMATION PROVIDERS, LICENSORS, OR OTHER SUPPLIERS PROVIDING DATA, INFORMATION, OR SERVICES (EACH A "PROVIDER") ... MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY: (A) AS TO THE TIMELINESS, SEQUENCE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY OF THE CONTENT OR THE SERVICE OR ANY INFORMATION, SERVICE OR TRANSACTION PROVIDED THEREBY, OR (B) THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE OR WILL OPERATE IN AN UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE MANNER, OR (C) THAT ERRORS OR DEFECTS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED. WE ALSO DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE OR THE CONTENT IS APPROPRIATE, ACCURATE OR AVAILABLE FOR USE IN ANY PARTICULAR JURISDICTION. THIS DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY CONSTITUTES AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THIS AGREEMENT”
A) This is an evil, legal, make as broad as possible to get me off hook statement. One of those statements that is made possible by our lovely US legal system but should be completely illegal (another paper and time). Some key points: “TIMELINESS” They can take forever (literally) to ship your item or even approve any step of the process. “ACCURACY” The product description could be wrong, they could all of the sudden say “actually along with what you have already done you also have to do this” and claim that the accuracy of their statement was wrong, could claim that their price is wrong. “RELIABILITY” really? Wow. So basically they state that they claim no reliability. That translates to “I’m not reliable” in my book.
B) Again the service may not be available all of the sudden. Or, as in my case, the service a not work properly
C) This is icing on the cake that is B. This says that if anything is wrong they don’t have to fix it. So if the service doesn’t work or a description is wrong they don’t have to fix it. So in my case they don’t have to fix the problem I am having.
This statement opens their horizons to a point where they can do just about anything

“We may terminate this Agreement or cease offering the Service, at any time and for any reason in our sole discretion”
Again reinforcing the fact that the can shut this down at any moment. This it a lot more clear though. Basically, they could say “too bad” and you wouldn’t get your item no matter how far into the process you are. They actually wouldn’t have to say anything.

This basically says we can scam you. They can shut down at any moment so you cannot get you item no matter how far into the process you are. The product you are getting may not be the product described. The can wait forever (literally) to ship your item. Also, they could pull they wait for you to complain, then not comply, so you have to dispute through your credit card company = months and then they still have the right to take as much time as they want so this might not even help. Their service may not work properly and they don’t have to fix (which obviously it doesn’t work as in my case). They pretty much claim they are not reliable. Really they state that they do not claim to be reliable. And a lot of vague legal mumbo they can manipulate to their liking. (I would like to note I am no lawyer or even student of law so correct me if I am wrong on my interpretations). Also, their live chat is automated (offers you a 10% discount by entering SPECIAL10 when you pay). bad sign.

Having said all of this I highly doubt this site is legitimate. However, it is still possible. Just because they claim all of these things doesn’t mean they are soul-less. I find it curious that I have not found any instances where someone has actually received their item. That is the story I want to hear. Anyone?

Legitebiz posts a good explanation of how it is possible for them to sell these things at such a low price.

Will keep everyone posted on my email and if my problem ever gets resolved. My guess = won’t happen.

Lucid Deals is definitely a scam! There should be a law against scams like these... I did the same thing and guess what? Never was able to order my product. This really sucks! DON'T TRY TO ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE ###S!
