11/21/22 - I received an Email from Michael Lang regarding a Remote Customer Service Representative / Data Entry position. He referred me to Claire Smith, Assistant Hiring Manager of Lowell Construction Company, Salt Lake City, Utah.
I interviewed with Claire Smith on 11/22/22 via Google Chat. After the interview she offered me the job and stated that they would send me a check to buy the necessary equipment I would need to work from home.
11/23/22 - I received a Fed Ex enclosing a check for $6,750.00
11/23/22 - I deposited the $6,750.00 check into my Chase Bank account as Clair Smith directed me to stating that when the check clears I will be told where to purchase the materials needed to start work from home.
11/30/22 - I receive notification from Chase Bank that the check has been returned reason (Altered/Fictitious)
Desired outcome: Please review and hopefully post a warning to employment seekers that this company Lowell Construction Company, Salt Lake City, Utah is fictitious and committing financial fraud.
