Inquired about a dog & filled out the form. After I sent it in, I was still hit with loads of questions. I completely understand the process of adopting & making sure an animal will go into a loving home. However, once I got to the last question, which was "what happens to the dog when you move out?", Cindy, the lady who responded to my emails, was incredibly rude. She talked down to me like I was some villain or animal abuser. Just because I answered I would take a dog that I adopted to a home with me if I moved. I was completely floored by how rude & accusatory this woman was. She made up her own assumptions about who I was, what my lifestyle was & how I wasn't a good hole for an animal. It was insane. I've never dealt with customer service being so awful. I get making it challenging to adopt dogs that didn't come from a good place, but that's making it down right impossible. Instead of going to a home where they'll be loved, they will be stuck in the kennell with her. I feel sorry for the animals in this woman's care. Beware of trying to adopt a pet from here.
Desired outcome: An apology or this woman's job. Preferably the latter.
I attempted to adopt a puppy from them years ago and it was a nightmare. I was approved to adopt and had picked a puppy specifically because I had breed experience with that breed. She decided she knew better and switched what puppy I would be adopting at the very last minute. It was literally a bait and switch and she had done it to someone else I know that ended up with a large breed dog when they agreed to adopt a medium size dog. When I informed her that I disagreed she attacked me verbally. I doubt it is a real rescue because they always seem to have puppies, I suspect some very unethical things.
