Le Parc Condominium Association review: Engages in coercion and intimidation of homeowners

Le Parc Condominium Association is primarily run by one person. That is Dan Edgar. The other board members either follow along or they are too new to be able to force adherence to the rules.

Recently Dan Edgar decided that he wanted to charge the condo owners $150.00 every year just for renting their condo unit. The Code of regulations permit unit owners to rent. The only fee associated with renting your unit is a $150.00 fee every time you execute a new lease. Dan Edgar is trying to use that rule to get $150.00 every year, regardless if you execute a new lease or not.

To coerce unit owners into paying he has decided to change the parking passes. So now unit owners cannot get an updated parking pass unless they pay the $150.00 fee that Le parc Condo Assn. has no legal right to charge. Without the updated parking pass, all vehicles for that condo unit will be towed. So, the end result is "pay the illegal $150.00 every year or get your car towed and your tenant's car(s) towed.

Dan Edgar has also decided not to engage in any meaningful discussion to solve this problem because he knows that starting July 1, 2023 unit owners will give in to the pressure because having your car towed is approximately $400.00 each occasion while paying the illegal fee is only one time every year, until they decide to raise that amount. Which is likely to happen if they are not compelled to stop this activity.

As it stands now, they have refused to discuss this matter, so I filed a complaint with the Ombudsperson. I am also preparing to pay the $150.00 so my tenant's vehicles do not get towed time and time again. Despite the fee being illegal, their well-crafted coercion campaign is working.
