UPDATE: 8/31/2025 - PayPal sided with me, and I received a full refund of $100. He dragged it out by waiting till the last minute to respond, but justice finally caught up! But he then "permanently closed his business" on Google Reviews and Yelp and hid my FB review to run from the terrible way he behaved. Whether he's starting fresh under a different name or actually shutting down, people deserve to know the truth.

8/6/2025 - Beware: Extremely Unprofessional, Unreliable, Unprepared, Twice a No-Show, Canceled Abruptly When I Requested a Written Warranty, Never Completed Diagnostic nor Any Repairs, Kept My $100

I paid Michael Wooten $100 upfront for a diagnostic service on both my car’s engine and AC because it wasn’t blowing cold air. From the start, the experience was frustrating. He never confirmed the appointment, so I had to reach out the night before.

When he arrived, he was unprepared — he didn’t bring the Freon needed to complete the AC leak test. This meant the diagnostics were incomplete. Yet he still charged me the full $100, which I paid, trusting that he would return to finish the work. But he never did. The written estimate he provided included an incorrect part for my engine and left out the AC parts & labor entirely.

Following the incomplete diagnostic, he stood me up twice. The first time, he didn’t notify me at all. I only found out after texting him — wasting much of my day. He claimed he forgot. The second time, he confirmed but didn’t send the corrected estimate until I asked, only a couple of hours before the agreed time. The total was now much higher, but his system kept my previous signature without my consent.

When I requested a written warranty for parts and labor, he ignored me and abruptly canceled without even an apology less than 30 minutes before he was supposed to arrive, citing “too many emergencies.” This last-minute cancellation wasted more of my valuable time and once again demonstrated a total lack of respect.

As a result, the diagnostic service I received was unusable, I lost $100, and I will have to pay another mechanic for a proper engine diagnosis, since they need to perform their own diagnostics to warranty their work, and for the AC as well, since he never completed the leak test.

Overall, this has been a complete waste of time & money. He caused me significant stress, left me without a car, and canceled over a written warranty request. I regret ever calling him. Save yourself the hassle and find a more professional and reliable mechanic.

At this point, I wouldn’t trust him with my car even if he offered to do the work for free.
