Lahey Hospital/Fuller Hospital review: Medical abuse
I recently had a traumatic experience at Lahey hospital where they tackled me to the ground (which scraped my arms and legs), held me in four point restraints, then injected me with haldol. The hospital psychiatrist asked me questions which were meant to dehumanize me, humiliate me, and degrade me. I was in intense pain and wasn't able to sleep for days after this happened to me due to the haldol injection. I was then held at fuller hospital for four days where I signed forms under the influence of haldol, I was ignored when I complained about chest pain, I was kept in ripped pants, I wasn't given enough time to eat, I was only allowed to go outside in a tiny courtyard, I was prescribed an antihistamine instead of actual anti anxiety drugs, I wasn't able to see outside because all the windows were shuttered, and the only place I could go was the bedroom, a hallway, and two small common rooms which were connected to that hallway. My constitutional and human rights were violated. I have been traumatized by both of these experiences and I have been harmed by the actions of those who work for these hospitals.
