We stayed 3 nights at the San Diego Metro KOA November 20-22, 2021. This was our second time staying in a KOA in California. Our first stay was at the Petaluma KOA November 9-12, 2021. Both KOA had a problem with sugar ants. Our trailer got infested with them at both KOA, despite us keeping food sealed in our trailer, eating outdoors, vacuuming multiple times a day and having a humidifier and AC running all day. Both KOAs did nothing to address our ant concerns beyond "ants are rare this time of year." Upon packing up, it was obvious that the site at the San Diego KOA was indeed an ant pile (ants crawling out of the concrete pad cracks and up and down both trees on the site.
The condition of the hot tub at the San Diego KOA was appalling; it was full of foam, not bubbles, indicating that the state of its cleanliness. Our kids most likely picked up hand, foot and mouth disease from the pool here as the day after we checked out, they were sick with it.
We will never again stay at a KOA. No compensation of any sort was offered from either campgrounds. Campers beware! The facilities have wow factor, but once you're in it, expect to be surprised by creepy crawlers and disease.

Desired outcome: Refund of a minimum one night stay
