I talked to somebody in November/December 2009 and was offered a trial to look at the publication. I was told about the book by your representative. When the book arrived I looked at it and the book was not as represented. I returned it on January 11 in the manner in which it was sent to my office.

Although I returned it on January 11, I received monthly invoices including interest costs and we replied to them by letters. We even spoke to a representative who indicated that we were going to continue to get bills until they received back the materials. We were told by them that they did not have it. According to what I've seen here and elsewhere, they seem to have a problem in the receiving department yet they seem to want that problem to be my problem.

I guess the coaching point here is if you receive a call from somebody from Knowles Publishing offering to sell you a book, based upon my experience, you should think about that. First, from my experience they can't be trusted to accurately describe the book because the book was not as represented and secondly it seems that they don't find books that are sent back to them in the same manner they were sent out I don't seem to be the only person having a problem and I only spent a minute or two looking

Just might take, your mileage may very

I have had a similar problem. They sent me a CD that I never opened or used. But I didn't send it back in time, so I got stuck with a $900 bill. What a rip off.

Received a phone call from Knowles Publishing Inc. said we had a 30 free trail tried to call and send it back they said it could not be returned. I stated to them I would be sending it back with refuse written on the box she stated to me they would be refusing the return. Wow talk about great customer service...these folks are a joke!

Very similar to my story - Knowles telemarketing a book on 30 day return, book arrives, not what I wanted, returned book, started to get dunning notices with service charge fees, called and spoke with Knowles customer service and was informed " the book was not returned", I provided tracking information and proof of delivery to Knowles, Knowles says they did not receive book, dunning and service charges continue interspersed with odd hour and day collection calls. I talked with my Attorney, he indicates the law firm has the same problems with Knowles, West Publishing and Beoacle(sp) Real Estate law in Mississippi. No resolution advice was offered. I believe it's time for a class action suit to try and put these folks out of business.

Wow! Here it is 2012 and I had the exact same experience! I just got my money back from Knowles for exactly the same reasons you described and exactly the same song and dance for months. I guess all is well that ends well ------- unless you are forewarned.
