I purchased a PeopLounger motion sofa from our Sumter Kimbrells... The salesman helped us load it in our trailer.
When we got it home the motion parts would not work!
They came and picked it up, keep it for 3 days...When I called to check on it, the receptionist said that the manager said that my husband and my son bent the frame when they picked it up and when they brought it in to the house!
My husband called and talked to the salesman and said he could assure him we did not bend the frame, we brought in in and set it down like a newborn baby .!
So we have been without this sofa for almost 10 days, they are going to put a new frame in it for us!
I will not go back to this store, nor recommend this store!

Why it takes 3 weeks for your furniture to come in from Kimberly's I ordered a bed/ mattress set 3 weeks ago I kept calling trying to get info about when they think the bed would come in omg the attitude's are ridiculous or if you ask to speak to sales person they always on break or off that day so I think I will let them keep there bed/ mattress set and go to rooms to go they are faster service I have never dealt with a furniture company like this before and never will again they are bad for business sorry but I had to post this my fiance is getting agitated and now so am I so I will get refund they can have the bed set

Oh, and I forgot all about the "forced" delivery, if you finance it in the store!

They lie to you about the quality of the crap that they sell, and most recently, we bought a "new" refrigerator from them...yeah, it was new to them, but it was out of the packaging for display, except they had the installation instructions taped OVER the data sticker, and once they had it in my house ( I had to remove and re-assemble the doors because the delivery crew didn't know how, and they scratched the hell out of a stainless steel door), I was able to see that this unit had been manufactured over a year earlier. I know that these things may sit in the warehouse for a while, but why did they feel they had to lie to me about the age, and cover up the true mfg. date? Not to mention, I swear that this unit had been previously used! Next thing is they sell it to you with the famous "no interest for 90 days", but that is NOT the same as 90 days same as cash, so they tell me. I got the original contract out, and according to the contract itself, and a calculator to verify my figures, when we paid it off, we paid them almost $200 more than what should have been the pay off on this unit. Been fighting with them for over a week now, on that fact. They are telling me that the "forced" accident and health insurance has already been paid out, but the question they keep dodging is, " Why was any insurance paid, until AFTER the 90 period was up?" I came in and paid it off, just like I stated, WELL BEFORE THE 90 DAY PERIOD END! They are nothing more that a bunch of f'ing crooks, liars, scams, and cheats! I've talked to the BBB about filing complaints against them, and it's as if they have the BBB paid off, the BBB won't accept my complaints! New rule of thumb here...if a furniture store occupies a closed grocery store, instead of building their own building, or being in a mall, they are NOT TO BE TRUSTED! Could be why Badcock went out of business around here, doing the same thing, pawning off cheap particle board wannabe nice furniture!

I was terminated from the Taylors SC store on 2-4-12. The district manager Scott Wood was catching hell from the home office, because our store was not up to their standard. Five months prior I was working at the Greenville Laurens Rd store and was asked to go to Taylors and help them out. At the same time they were undecided as to whether they were going to close the Taylors store. I asked " If I go over there how much does the store currently bring in per month. I was told around $37.000. I was promised that I would not lose my job if they closed the store, I would simply come back to the Laurens Rd. location. Well off I go. It was everything they said it was. So I started changing things around even going to other stores and getting merchandise. Steve Husky( who was the district manager)gets promoted and In comes Scott Wood. I have worked in the sales business for 15 years and I have never met such a childish unprofessional district manager before in my life! He will walk in a store with his nose in the air and will not speak to ( certain people. I won't go there) He tries to use intimidation and fear to motivate people because he's a coward. A professional district manager gets people motivated through proper training of its managers and employees. They rally the troops with kindness and know how and they keep a pleasent personality with employees no matter if business is up or down they stay professional at all times. I knew he wanted the credit manager and myself gone. He had at least a little sense not to get rid of the credit manager because she held all the knowledge that his new store manager did not know! One day the new store manager asked me to put together a bed. I stated to him that I did not know how. The next thing I know I'm fired, but they lied and said that I refused so they could get rid of me. OK I take it like a man and file unemployment. I get a letter stated that I am disqualified for 12 weeks because I was being insubordinate buy refusing to put a bed together. I said OH HELL NO THEY DID'NT! I filed for an appeal I subpoena Scott Wood and the store manager. I wanted them to tell me that lie to MY FACE!That coward Scott Wood did'nt even show up! I won the appeal and I quote"CLIAMENT WAS DIISCHARGED WITHOUT CAUSE" God don't like ugly.
