For restless leg syndrome, after taking the 3 pills as prescribed morning, noon, night. Feeling normal and off my shift, was driving to meet a friend and just before I arived it was determened that I either passed out or fainted due to the medication overdose resulting in a rear end car crash into 2 cars stopped at a traffic signal. I hurt my wrist somehow during the crash, feeling it hurt but not seeing anything. Then came to and a woman was outside the car asking me if I was ok. I asked what happend sheasked me if I had been drinking and I said no, then moved my car onto a driveway parking spot. Went to check on the other folks and they werent in a trama situation, just sore and banged up. Both couples. We exchanged information, while police were asking questions and giveing me a field sobriety test, and I passed easily. I have neck and wrist damage from the wreck, the people in the cars went to hospital for pains and strains. All three cars were totalled, major job loss as I was working as a long term care giver, and needed to get to peoples homes to give care, I was sued from the insurance company they both had, my insurance, full coverage was enough to cover both drivers and wife and one auto. If the other driver wants to get funds for the car then I will pay out of pocket 900.00 at least. I have a letter from hoag hospital stating, thank you very much for recently contacting hoag memorial hospital regarding concernsabout the care you received from jonathan houpt, md hoag hospital takes all patient concerns and feedback seriously and we appreciate the oppertunity to respond. Because of california evidence code. Section 1157, findings of medical staff reviews are privileged and confidential and cannot be shared with patients and their families. Please be aware that the medical board of california is the only authority that can take disciplinary action against the license of the licensee. Respectfully a. Geer s. I tried to reach out to dr jonathan houpt over many months leaving messages with different staff in emergency room and others l, but never got a response. I was trying to ask for some help financially instead of just getting a third party to help me with this ongoing struggle. It has cost me a lot of grief. Would like financial compensation, and this accident off my driving record.
