Preface:
This documentation is to demonstrate Johanna Grissom is an unregistered backyard "kitty mixologist" who is charging$ [protected] for an unverifiable breed of cat. I found her under a list of breeders on GoKitty.com.

Story summary:
I texted for my deposit of $250 back. Or even partial. She said "I will think about it" and then blocked me.

She is not a breeder and she told me her plans that her next litter as found below in email. She made a ragdoll/siberian mix cat to either a laperm or devon Rex, tiny cats. She had do e zero genetic testing and there is know way she know what mix of ragdoll and siberian she had.

She made me feel worthless as a buyer and as my bf said, "so I am going to pay $1000 for a mutt cat with no ability to register? And she lives in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and charged 500-800 for cat travel costs when other breeders charge around
$120-250 to ship a cat. Plus, she wasnt going to give a second vets check up to finish the second round of shots, letting the kits go at 6

Notice the first contact back to me, was a contract and deposit. Then I started asking proper questions and she said I was rude, but I do not believe I was rude. Instead, she was rude in some cases"im too busy to say more"Girl! These kittens are too young to be vaccinated!"Last message first and first message is last.

Ok, it was not possible to convince my boyfriend of this cat. He continues to insist I need papers and all the shots necessary before going 1500 miles away for a $1000 cat. I tried to get as much proof as possible and did my best. To him, since he is buying the cat that is not a full breed and therefore not possible to be registered, That I should look for the siberian fullbread as I originally was searching for. He is wondering if some of the deposit can be returned as he knows I have bothered you with so many questions and taken some time away from you.

Again, I was fine with the sale and already came up with a name for him which took 5 obsessive days away from me. I really hope that you can find a home like mine and someone like me who knows they are buying a best friend for life.

I am sad also that I need to start all over. And I asked my bf if he wanted to pay double and he said no but the travel cost makes it double. He cares too much about a dumb certificate, as he always paid for certified animals to register with an association.

Thank you, Anna! Btw I like Ana more than Johanna, as I love every ana I meet, and didnt like my last boss, Johanna... she was way too serious, albeit very empathetic. Too empathetic for her own self care... kinda like me, which is maybe why I didnt like her; In the realm of outpatient care for first episode psychosis, (schizophrenia and bipolar) when nobody is ready for outpatient... it was why I got so sick.

And yes, I am aware the last vaccine comes the week before I pick him up. Or since he was born only last month, I will be doing the 11 week vax and shots, deworming, etc?
As it had been a very long time since I had a kitten, I would really like the vet phone #. I know I need a list of shot, test, vaccines and which week or month I should bring him to the vet near me.

It is mandatory for me to ask the proper questions due to my partner, Michael. The info you have given will be of great significance to Michael, my partner. Who wants all the info from the proper cat buying questions that you can provide. I am already sold.

I gave my new baby a name, Tourmaline, finally! I sent by text as I text only fun positivity and email in business or concerns.
Me, you know where I stand on certificates by my story of how I purchased the perfect cat duo from sad places. They were my life until I got sick. I still have a little resentment that nobody I knew would take them in until I got well. Now I am well, which is why 4/1 is so important. However, since he will be only half the suggested age to leave the house, It would be okay if you would like to hold onto him a little longer; he still needs his mother in order for him to have better adjustment and a sense of security for his whole life. I mean thats what my research said of big breeds. My cats were 6 and 7 weeks when I picked them up and I am unsure what their adjustment ability was, as they were strictly indoor cats and HATED the groomer so much the groomer had me hold them in order to do their job. And I always wore a jacket with clawproof sleeves. And one time I went to see my parent in Myrtle beach for four days, six hours from DC area and on day 2, tamarind went diahhrea all over and left a solid poo at the door each day. Michael did not have a positive experience with Tamerind. And this cat will look so similar and have a similar name

Girl, this kitty is too young to be vaccinated! He was born on 2.11.21.
He and all my babies have their first round of shots before being adopted. And all my cats are negative for all illnesses and your baby will be tested before you get him. You really have nothing to worry about. He's a gorgeous little guy.
I understand buying a kitten online is a nerve racking thing, but I do have a BUNCH of references if you are interested. I've have many HAPPY parents who would LOVE e to tell you about their experience buying from me.
I bought my sire and his brother (uncle Bubba) from a Cattery that was going out of business. The owner told me both brothers were siberian ragdoll. I never got any paperwork from them. Every person who sees them wants them. My mom got uncle bubba fixed but I kept Grumio intact.
I started breeding him 3 years ago, he has produced many nearly 50 gorgeous babies. I have never been concerned with certificates, but I do strive to produce beautiful healthy kittens. I'm a hippie and I don't believe love needs documents!
I'm also a bit of a kitty mixologist, I have a few radical hybrids due any day! I personally don't believe in keeping the breeds strictly apart, that's how we discover better breeds. There's more to say but I'm out of time for now.

So we have established most of the basics, you can disregard most of the last email which is the reason for this one.

I know most of the basics have been established. You said you were not registered so I cannot ask about the 3 letter prefix of registration.
You have said I will have a 2 year health guarantee, so I will only need a copy of the certificate of health including the test for HCM and the number of your vet. (He can give me suggestions for care also since he already knows your cats).
According to any site, I should verify your sellers license, and the lineage of your cats, like where you bought your first pair... from a registered breeder or not. You showed me pics of the cats you have from grandma, uncle and parents. But I am unsure of which is more radoll or more siberian as its really difficult to know the difference between the two by looks (to me because I have not seen or played with any in my personal life)

If you would please help me with a list of vaccinations that have been given and the shots I will need to give... or I could just ask your vet. In exchange, I will establish a vet and you can get his number.

As we have already covered half of the questions beforehand, I already have trust by way of how much you care for your cats, stimulate them, showed pics, sent back a refund when I was rude, showed me pics and did lots of texting, you will release your cat at the correct age etc have all demonstrated that you are reputable and want your cats in good homes only. You put up with all my questions. As I have not had a cat for one year, I know I am more chill and confident when I have my own cat baby. I want only to be the best mommy for my boy and I have been obsessive in researching both breeds to make certain I do everything to stay in tune with his needs. And like I said, When you want an update, I will provide one even if you have a lot of personal questions about my cat care.

If you dont know some of the answers you can just say, I dont know... just as long as we covered everything. This will help me in the end, especially your vet as he might even know how I can establish a reputable vet here. In Virginia, the best vets were in the shelters before I moved next to a different city with a good vet family down the block.

Sorry for bothering you again, and thank you in advance. These are tips that are common on several"buying a cat tips"Here are the lists below and you can see we have covered most of the basics

Commentary: a kitty mixologist?! Impossible without know what she started with, and no name of the cattery she purchased from! and to cross a huge cat with a small? Totally unethical

Commentary: Notice that she is still not giving info of her vet or medical cert of health while claiming a 2 year bill of health...

Two photos that shows back yard breeder quests and another 21 questions a buyer should ask according to more sites than GoKitty.com.

OK, I will continue to do business with you. I assure you that you will be happy with him. He really is a special cat, the only lynx in the litter. He will be a stunner! I would love you to keep in touch and send pictures as he develops. This is Skunky's first litter, so I'm excited to see how he turns out. Both parents and grandparents have triple layer mink texture coats. He's going to be extra poofy!

Im sorry to have given you that crap. I have given you a negative feeling and for that I am sorry. I flipped out because I didnt know anything about Ragdolls.
I have done my research on Ragdolls now tho and their temperament is similar to the siberian. I only want to know if he will be a great adventure cat with me which is what I was most concerned about.
I am sorry I gave you a wrong impression of me. Is he half-half ragdoll/siberian? I know that you have both breeds and that was rude to question. I have never had either breed before so I went a little loca not knowing about the ragdoll. I was reassured when I found that ragdolls like water also and I saw a couple photos and videos of Ragdolls also being adventure cats.

Another problem that it sounded rude is because I wrote it during my highest anxiety time. Please can you excuse someone who came off rude because of fear and doubt?

Its not that I dont want the cat, as I choose and am a very good mommy. Totally spoiled and always have as much time for as much as they want; I want it too. I will never again write any email at night because Nobody else has ever described me as rude and never want to hear that again. Any negative words I have heard have been..."a little egocentric"so I try to keep myself in check. Again I am sorry.

May we continue? The fair questions are: what percent of siberian and ragdoll are they (so I know for sure what to understand caring and traits that come from what breed). For example, I had two himalayans. One had a lot more persian characteristics, and the other, had more Siamese character and already understood what makes either of them tick better. I know that although neither cat really shed much except for molting, I am wondering if he will molt or not.
I am warming up to the idea of having a radgoll in the mix once I learned they are similar.
Oh, and what kind of tree will I need? High for Siberian. Or low tree for ragdoll?

I have no problem about the contract; I freaked out and again I can only say sorry so many times before it starts to lose its value.
Maybe we can talk by facetime or whatsapp or FB so we can both see who we are better. A lot is lost in the written word. I lost face by being"rude"and I should add,"distrustful"and"ignorant" which are all words that are normally not associated with me.

I am still making arrangements to come to your place and I want us to both feel safe and know each other better. He is your cat right now and I am sure you would like updates of how he is growing?

Ok this email is too long and if you have read to the end, I hope I havent overwhelmed you

I have a few more questions before I sign. The ad I found said Siberian cats and Ragdolls but not mixed. Will this little guy have 3 coats including the down layer? What percentage is he in breeds? Do you have a DNA test that proves their breed is what you say they are? They have no papers so how do you even know what breed of cats you have? The parents are small 10 and 14lbs, similar to my Himalayan cats (11-12lbs). How do you know if you have ragamuffins instead?

Thank you

Very cute kitties, and seems the cat was a mix of siberian and ragdoll. Thats what made me so blind.
