so i worked for jack for about 2 and a half yrs. and at first everything was fine, we were under the corporation and Not a franchise. when i moved to salinas to work. the company sold the restaurant to franchise owner. it was all good until, there was no raise, no vacation, and NO BREAKS!. we had breaks for regular employees once i bacame a shift leader. my breaks were gone. no breaks for an 8hr shift. and i had no crew to work with. i was a regular graveyard worker when i became a shift leader, and i was yelled at by the supervisor(maria guerra). she told me that i should clock out and in for my breaks. and i told her that i was not going to clock my breaks if i didnt took them. she didnt say anything, so i wouldnt clock my breaks and then i was cut hrs and was constantly yelled at for the time speed for each drivethru car. i told how can i move cars if i have no crew, no breaks and i get stressed out!. she said that i had to get it done!. well a month went by and then i saw a notice for all employees and it said "Every cashier needs at least 10 VOG calls per week or you will get a warning" (VOG are calls that customers make on the number that comes in some reciets to make a good call about the service and a chance to win 10, 000) i was like, "that is not in the contract that i signed and summited, and i never got a new contract with new regulations" the next day she took it down and didnt followed thru on the notice with any emloyee. i just quit jack 2 days ago. im tired and stressed and i will never work at jack! the supervisor told me after i quit that, i better hope my new job works out because i will never get a reference from them!. . . i worked so hard for what? for this? i recommend to not wor in any of the jack in the box in the central coast in monterey county, they are all owned by mike flores the franchise owner. Yes he has gotten complains but he doesnt take any action. im hoping i get my check on thursday and if not i will have to file a complain with labor commision here in salinas, ca

Why is it that a Bangladesh guy who graduated from a local college in Manila can't secure a job in Manila?

I am a local graduate here in Manila. I also have a 7 years working experience in my own country and also Malaysia. I recently attended 14 interviews here in the Philippines, I did qualify in 70% of them but was told "they dont hire Bangladesh"...any answers to this weird phenomenon?
