Jim's plumbing in western Australia total rip off!! Charged me $690 to extend a pipe 4 meter for my stove, spent over one hour to figure something easy out as he is paid $39.00 every 15 minutes wasting time so he get paid more!
And $13.20 just for spaying a little gas leak detection . Total rip off company.

    one of the plumbers came to my place to move gas opening for 30 cm. He finished in about 30 min and another 30 min he spent seating in his van. He asked for $ 420 and he did not provide receipt. I contacted manager and she was so rude. She told me they know how long their employees spend on a site because they have special equipment to monitor them.:)

    well, my case is even WORST, we are located in VICTORIA
    JIM PLUMBING came to do a gas test for our tenant, $285. they said if there is a leak, extra $320. So JIM PLUMBING claim there is a leak so they capped off all the gas on a Friday. at the end, JIM PLUMBING said there is a leak underground so they DEMANDED an EXTRA $4400 to replace the copper pipe. OTHERWISE NO GAS FOR YOU FOR FRIDAY or WEEKEND. SO JIM's PLUMBING ALREADY CHARGED US $605 just to cap off the stove, heater and how water. (the whole thing took no longer than 2 hours) . Luckily we got another plumber to replace the pipe, the whole lot on Saturday, costed us ONLY $1600. The customer representative rang on Monday and ask for our feedback, yet they didn't care and hang up on us.

    I phoned Jim's to replace my mothers hot water heater and they had somebody to her home within the hour, had 3 other quotes previous to this and Jim's was the only plumbing company who would fix the problem that day. The plumber explained everything to us before he went ahead and did the job, he had everything that he needed to complete the job, and left absolutely no mess whatsoever once he was done. I couldn't recommend Jim's highly enough to my friends and the rest of the family. Mum sure was happy to have her hot water back that's for sure!

    I totally agree!! I was ripped off by them too! They charged me $250 for being "unable to finnish the job".. guy spent some half hour on the actual job changing spare part on my water heater only to find out heater still didn't work and then after being unable to diagnose what was wrong gave me quote for new system - twice the price of competitors quote, same model. I still had to pay them as they threatened me with legal action even tho they did not fix the unit and left it not working, and I had to pay someone else to finish the job. Not to mention how rude they were when we questioned why should we pay for services not delivered. I was willing to pay for call out fee only but they wanted the whole amount... unprofessional and greedy
