In JG TaxGroup the other day I wrote about an employee that had to sue Jeffery Galante and David Connell to get her overtime. She won the case and the court forced Jeff Galante and the others to pay her back.
While I was doing the initial research I stumbled on this too Galante Tax Group. Jeff Galante seems to just close one business and start another in the same profession whenever he needs to.
Why would someone do this?
I can understand closing a company if you are no longer going to be doing anything in the same profession, but to close one and then open a VERY similar business (JG Taxgroup) is a technique that is often used by very dishonest people.
Did he have too many complaints and he figured that he would just start over with a new name and a new address even though the two businesses are right NEXT to each other?

Did he have too many of his JG TaxGroup employees quit because he also treated them like Sara Vanegas?
Why would honest businessmen do something like this?
Another strange thing is that the website www.galantetaxgroup.com is still up… Why would an honest business file "Articles of Dissolution" and then continue to use the site and a phone number that is associated with JG Taxgroup?
The website even shows the site as being copyrighted in 2008 and it is still listed under Galante Tax Group.
I see how they are always touting their A+ rating. I'm not saying they are, but, maybe they are one of those companies that just "bought" a good rating with the BBB.

I noticed that JG Tax Group never addresses the closing of a business either. What did tax Defense Network do what warrants them being shut down? If you do your research you don;t really read anything out of the ordinary IMO. This sounds like nothing more than a slap fight by JG Tax Group. I haven't read one thing about Tax Defense Network bashing JG Tax Group so what gives? It sounds to me that JG Tax Group is upset because their labor practices and possibly their business practices are being exposed by an ex employee and now they are just trying to throw stones. It's a sad state of affairs when you see companies resort to tactics like this. Sheeze JG Tax Group you would think you would have enough work to do taking care of your clients instead of wasting time slinging mud.
Wow this is interesting. I do have a question. Why is JG Tax Group calling out Tax Defense Network? I am not taking sides by any means. I am an old codger who has nothing better to do than read about companies and their business practices. JT Tax Group sure looks upset about something. From what I read and the links provided. JG Tax Group has skeletons in their closets as well. After all no company is spot free with complaints now a days if you do any sort of volume. When I read that post it sounded like an ex, disgruntled employee(s) of JG Tax Group posted this little "Secret" about their work practices. I do have a question though. If this was a non issue with JG Tax Group then why did it reach all the way to Federal Court? That is a pretty serious charge and the appearance is that there is some truth for it to go that far. hmmmm SMH.
The article above was written by Tax Defense Network in an attempt to deceive the public once again. Galante Tax Group LLC has never had a complaint against them. The reason for dissolving that corporation was strictly a business decision.
I have worked for the IRS for over 32 years, and during that time I have seen companies like Tax Defense Network who, I believe, have deceived the public in many ways.
When I retired from the IRS, I started a company to represent taxpayers before the IRS, but also to educate the public about deceitful companies like, I believe, Tax Defense Network. I have previously educated the public about companies like Taxmasters, JK Harris, and Roni Deutch… all of whom have been closed down by Attorney Generals across the United States.
Tax Defense Network, I believe, will be closed down by the Attorney General in a very short period of time. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Florida, instituted a lawsuit against Tax Defense Network, and have reported Tax Defense Network to the Florida Bar. This is all in an effort to make sure taxpayers are not again deceived as they have been for many years by unscrupulous companies. I have recently participated in the creation of the National Association of Tax Resolution Companies. This association was started to clean up the tax resolution industry in response to the many tax resolution companies out there that have been deceiving the public. The National Association of Tax Resolution Companies will educate the public and, I believe, will expose unscrupulous tax resolution companies. As Vice President of the National Association of Tax Resolution Companies, I will recommend that companies like Tax Defense Network not be allowed to maintain active membership in the association. I believe that a company, and its owner’s past reputations along with their ongoing attempts to deceive the public should be factors in rejecting their membership in the association.

Tax Defense Network was founded in 2007, by brothers Franklin and Joseph Vailnho. Neither of whom is an Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Attorney. The company was established after both brothers and their prior business, Emergency
Debt Relief, were sued by Attorney General Charlie Crist on behalf of the State of Florida pursuant to the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, Chapter 501, Florida Statutes. Dwayne Harmon, while Vice President of Marketing at Tax Defense Network, was charged with 1.7 million dollars in Internet fraud. Harmon was accused of selling the personal information of hundreds of Tax Defense Networks’ clients, putting their identities at risk of being abused. Additionally, Tax Defense Network has set up a website called www.consumertaxreports.org. This
website claims to deliver “Real Reviews”, “Honest Ratings”, and “Reliable Results”. The website dishonestly poses as an outside, third party who has “done background checks” on each tax company and “rated their performance from A-F”. It attempts to mimic the Better Business Bureau, better known as the BBB. The truth is that Tax Defense Network owns consumertaxreports.org. and lists itself as the “Number 1” tax company on the website. Meanwhile, Tax Defense Network is hard at work posting pretend, made up “ratings” on other companies.
Any company with a trustworthy reputation need not rely on deceptive websites to falsely promote themselves. After the lawsuit was filed, they immediately withdrew JG Tax Group from their website. We dismissed our lawsuit because Tax Defense Network removed our name and approximately 40 other names from the website. Several weeks later, Tax Defense Network was back up to their old tricks as they’d reposted JG Tax Group on their website in a less provocative way.
