I purchased jewellery items in early Nov 2023 from Jewelryshop’ / @2023 Tiff Jewelry, purporting to be ‘Tiffany Jewellery’ which was advertised as being on ‘Sale’ at reduced prices. The order number is TJ04-LDU16019563 and the Tracking number is LV892395566CN. The order stated that the Shipping Method as ‘Free’ and I paid for the goods by credit card in the amount of €160.93. Note -Their website states that a ‘customs fee’ may arise depending on size, weight and contents based on country the goods are coming into, and that this is the ‘responsibility of the customer’ to pay, so I wasn’t ‘suspicious’ at that point (when I should have been !) The items subsequently failed to arrive, and I made multiple enquiries regarding the whereabouts of the package with my jewellery. In mid December, they sent me the above ‘tracking link’ and said delays were due to transport/shipping delays, and to be ‘patient’. I then began to get numerous notifications by text, re a ‘package’ being ‘held’ at the sorting office, as there was a ‘customs fee due’.
I contacted the postal company, as I was by then getting ‘suspicious’. They told me the texts were a ‘scam’ & they looked into the ‘tracking’ links these text messages contained, as they too were ‘suspicious’ of these also. I continued to query from the customer service representative where my order was, throughout December, January and February 2024. I was becoming more aware, that this was a highly orchestrated scam & began to look into the website/ reviews and to my horror I note that others have been ripped off also & the website is a fraud and the jewellery are fake replicas. The postal staff advised I pursue the matter further, and gave me the contact details of the Regional Postal Sorting Office. They informed me that a package had indeed arrived in December 2023, and had been forwarded to Customs, who deemed that on inspection, the contents were examined and it was deemed that they infringed intellectual copyright and had therefore been ‘returned to the sender’ in China. I’m e-mailing you the communication from A Post confirming this. Iv repeatedly asked for a refund of my initial payment, but the company is offering me a 50/55% ‘compensation’ for ‘inconvenience’ stating that their logistics company won’t ’compensate’ them. Alternatively they suggest I pay another £20, and they will resend the goods to me. I take this to. S a blackmail tactic & designed to obtain more money off me. Iv told them repeatedly that I do not want ‘compensation for inconvenience’ nor do I want them to resend the jewellery, as they are a breach of trading standards and an infringement of intellectual copyright, and that I want a Full Refund. Clearly, the items are NOT authentic, as they have advertised/marketed them to be. Can you assist me please ? Regards,Yours sincerely, Fiona Mc Cluskey
