Jersey City Municipal - Parking Authority review: ridiculous ticketing

The parking tickets in Jersey City are getting outrageous. I parked my car not even halfway past the sign (see below) and received a ticket. Upon arriving at the scene, a different traffic officer than the one who had ticketed me agreed with me that I should not have received the ticket.

The officer on site said that the point of the sign was to limit obstructions from people turning the corner, and that I was clearly not obstructing anything. I have seen hundreds of cars parked in that same spot (sometimes even worse) without tickets. The traffic officers should at least be on the same page on when and where to ticket.
