I am a customer there who has been for the most part good on my car payments. Recently I have had some finicial issues, but i have keep them updated. i made a payment arrangement to pay thme and the day that my payment was due they without my consent posted a 450.00transaction on my account. now usually i would make phone payments and get confirmation. i have no forms signed for auto debit. but anyway, they tried to lie anad say i authorized it and then they said it was a mistake and if i bring in paperwork then they would fix it. i got up there nad they said it was'nt their problem and they would give me my money back if i gave them the car. we started to argue they totally disregarded the fact that they stole the money from my account and tried to repo my car while i was there.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I PURCHASED A VEHICLE FROM JAY STEVENS ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO...AFTER I PURCHASED THE SUV I HAD TO FIX SOMETHING ON IT EVERY MONTH. I HAD NEVER BEEN LATE ON MY PAYMENTS AND I DIDNT EVEN COMPLAIN ABOUT GETTING THE THINGS FIXED THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED. ONE DAY LAST YEAR I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND MY DRAFT SHAFT CAME OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF MY TRUCK WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I THOUGHT MY KIDS AND I WERE GOING TO DIE...LITERALLY! U DIDN'T EVEN COMPLAIN THEN, I JUST FOUND A MECHANIC AND GOT THE ISSUE FIXED. THEN, THIS PAST OCTOBER THE SAME THING HAPPENED...THE DRIVE SHAFT CAME OUT...COME TO FIND OUT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION THE ENTIRE TIME. I CALLED JAY STEVENS AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENENING THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT THAT I BOUGHT THAT VEHICLE. SO I THEN ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD FIX IT AND PUT THE CHARGES ON MY BALANCE SINCE I WAS LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AWAY FROM PAYING THE TRUCK OFF. THEY TOLD ME YES. THEY THEN TOLD ME NOT TO PAY THE PAYMENTS UNTIL THE WORK WAS DONE ON THE TRUCK...THIS WAS OCT 2009. THEY WERE SUPPPOSED TO FIX MY DRIVE SHAFT, A PULLEY, A COIL, UNIVERSAL JOINTS, AND MY SLIPPPING TRANSMISSION. SO IN NOV 2009 I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THE WORK WAS DONE AND I COULD GO PAY THE MONEY TO GET MY TRUCK. WHEN I GOT UP THERE THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE SENDING MY TRUCK TO AN AUCTION BECAUSE I FAILED TO PAY PAYMENTS! I WAS PISSED! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THEM AND I AM IN THE PROCESS OF SUING THEM FOR SELLING ME A "LEMON".
