-- IOFORT.com has our intellectual property and the sensitive customer data in their possession, which they are refusing to handover to us. We will continue this social awareness campaign till our data is given to us. We're also making a formal complaint with ICANN.org and cloudflare.com for data and IP theft.

Hi,
We are an Australia based customer who had hosted 2 of our websites at iofort.com 3+ years ago.

Our company has paid every invoice of iofort.com and IOFORT has suspended our 2 hosting accounts without letting us to take the full backup. We had asked them several times via tickets to give us the full backup, but they did not reply regarding the same.

As our data is still in IOFORT's possession, we have started an awareness campaign to tell customers all over the world about iofort's bullying practices. In view of our business loss and the massive anxiety caused by IOFORT's despicable behavior, we have decided to initiate a social awareness campaign and make larger global community of web hosting customers about your malicious business practices.

The first news article published explaining our experience while dealing with IOFORT

IOFORT Stole Sensitive Personal and Company Data from its Website Hosting Customers

IOFORT did not allow us to investigate any of the issues in our accounts (which they said via the last received support ticket). They cancelled our accounts and did not reply to any of out support tickets when we asked them the details of suspension of our 2 hosting sites.

IOFORT does not have any email service, chat line or phone lines so that customer can reach them in any emergency; they ONLY have one way to reach to them ie. via generating support tickets.

When we tried to reach them using their support system by generating tickets being worried why our two of the sites are down, they said "'DON'T SPAM US' .. We have suspended your accounts (without asking any explanations from customer or giving any chance to investigate) and this is the LAST REPLY from IOFORT."

How a customer cannot be worried when they don't know the details & IOFORT is not ready to answer anything or let customer investigate about that, as our cPanel access was blocked.

IOFORT did not let us review / look into our accounts to investigate anything into since 11 Aug 2021.

They never ever suggested that they will help us to fix the bugs if they found any.

We asked them many times via support tickets that we want our sites up and running (let us know how can we investigate), but they never replied to that.

Two of our sites were down because of some outage at their end, and we faced business loss. Their service is not up 100% time as they claim. Also, if their service is down, they don't care to inform the customers about the outage happened at their end.

Upon sending them any support tickets asking for any help/enquiry, they simply closed our tickets without even bothering to answer them. They have still not returned our full backups which is still in their possession. They have not responded to us how can we get our backups of two sites back.

We asked them to handover our full site backups of 2 sites since 11 Aug 2021 repeatedly, for which they have not responded till date.

Our two site data is still in their possession. IOFORT has been fully paid till May 2022 for two of our accounts.

Regarding deleting the data and file backups (in their terms page), IOFORT can terminate customer's accounts only after handing the full backups but they can't have possession of customer's sites and users data just like that.

The terms they are talking about of finding phishing files in our accounts, has not been investigated by us as they did not let us do that.

Industry leading information security researchers also reviewed the legal documentation provided on IOFORT terms of service page. They indicated that these legal clauses were not in compliance with the below mentioned data protection laws;

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
California Privacy Protection Act
California Consumer Privacy Act
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
The Article 29 Data Protection Working Party
Art. 9 GDPR Processing of special categories of personal data
The Washington Privacy Act, Senate Bill 6281
New York Privacy Act (S5642)

IOFORT does not have any authority to possess any of the client's data without the customer's consent. They have to return it to customer.

IOFORT has said in an email that will not return our data even though they have it in their data centers, and they have challenged us that any complaints or any posts that brings their reality in front of other customers won't affect them. They are bullying us and not ready to return our data backups.

Iofort.com does not have a legitimate registered company and directors. They hide their company details and customer can not find their identity. You can try to Google their company name and try to find their legal company details, it's nowhere to be found. IOFORT is a faceless company that does not even have their company registration, phone number, email and address published for clients to approach them.

They harass the client. We have suffered loss and hence willing to complaint about them here regarding their truth and false practices.
Our experience with them is that
1)IOFORT.com does not inform customer is their server is down. Client has to ask them why is their site down.

2) IOFORT.com does not allow customer to investigate any issue that they say in their ticket, if customer ask them why is their site down?

3) IOFORT.com won't reply to any of the tickets even if customer ask them to how to look into/ sort that issue that they say they have found.

4) If customer writes them to ask how to take their own backups, they call it spamming and close the tickets unanswered.

5) IOFORT.com will not allow customer to take their backups and disable front end as well as cPanel access without informing customer.

6) IOFORT.com threatens the customer that they will not handover backups ever if they have it.

7) IOFORT.com is a faceless company, with no emails, phone number, chat facility.

8) IOFORT.com believes their false practice does not affect them at all as they have several customers.

This complaint is to make sure that we get the justice and our whole backups back.

Image attached below to show that they have our data in their datacentres, but not willing to hand it over to us. IOFORT.com is threatening us not to expose their false practices as it will not harm them at all.

This complaint is to make sure that we get our full backups back and no other customer should get cheated by them in future.
