This is in regards to my friend whom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer along with other medical problems. Needless to say he is dieing a slow painful death. He recently had to change his medical over to a health plan which he is low income so he only had a couple choices, he chose iehp. He was prescribed boost nutritional supplemental drink by his doctor as he cannot hold down food. His regular medical covered the boost, but as of oct. 2011 since his change to iehp they will not cover it. THE MAN IS DIEING what is wrong with this health ins. plan. He's not asking for much just the nutrients he's not getting normally to help him fight to stay alive. He barely has the fight left in him as it is. I have watched him since they denied him in oct. 2011 slowly deteriorate from not having the supplements he needs and also giving up on his fight to live. He has been battling to get this approval for the boost and getting no where with them. How can this company claim to be so great when they are doing nothing but make a man suffer more than he already is? Imagine not eating for 2 months. Now he, s got to go through the appeal process he might be dead before he even gets to it. they should be ashamed of themselves.

I hate IEHP with a passion! I was sent to the ER by urgent care due to a irregular heart rhythm . Iehp sent me to a cardiologist ( which I love by the way) he ordered meds and wanted a follow up visit in 6 weeks they sent in the request 3times without an answer. I called iehp and they said they never received it I had the Dr send it again and again iehp claimed they never recovering . I spent a day trying to straighten every thing out and still had any cooperation . I spent an hour and a half before I got any results . I finally got an appt .I found out the meds. Are not working so I need a out patient procedure at the hospital to get it back into normal ryhtm. I called two weeks after the office visit to find out we're going through the same thing I am furious.

My wife is legally blind IEHP wont cover the insulin PENS the will cover the needles for them but not the pens ? they also wont cover the test strips BUT when she is sick they love to give her more pills now up to 22 a day but when she goes back to hospital they tell her not to take them ones just throw them out this has happened with new pills and atleat 12 bottles what a waste of money

Now a social worked showed up at my door (my wife is still in hospital 3rd week) they told her she is home more of a waste of time and money this just goes on and on ...
