Never use this site, once you have booked and given your credit card info, you have no recourse, this site offer hotel bookings but they are nothing more than a front company that take your money and offer no service. You are best to book directly with a hotel. in my case i made a minor mistake on a booking and was charged the full fee of 386 Euro, despite many emails to the company 5 mins after receiving a confo, they then distance themselves, tell you to contact the hotel directly, take a commission and don't give a flying FXXck about customer service. This company seems to have found a loop hole to earn commissions on non-refundable bookings, time to report this to European consumer website and shut them down.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Please note Booking.com did not charge for this reservation. All of the hotel's conditions and policies are disclosed before a reservation is confirmed. I was able to locate your reservation and see that my colleagues have made several attempts to convince the hotel to cancel the reservation due to the circumstances. I will contact the hotel again to see if they will reconsider their decision and allow a cancellation with a full refund due to the honest mistake.
