Hollywood Chi's (name has been changed and may change again) Purchased a puppy that was sick and has food allergies. The following is my opinion and my factual account of what transpired. On 10/8/2018 I contacted Ms. S***** and inquired about available puppies and pricing. When I initially spoke with Ms. S***** I stated I would like a female that is projected to be no larger than 3-4lbs full grown. I noticed her pricing was very high and asked if she had any closer to $2, 500.00, rather than $15, 000.00. At this price and from a breeder who has been showing and breeding for, I believe she said 16 plus years, I would hope that I would be getting a healthy, small puppy without any inherited breeding issues, etc. Ms. S****** agreed to sell me a puppy for $2600.00 plus $360.00 for shipping. I received my new, beautiful, little girl two days later. She did have a health certificate and was cleared to fly although she arrived with yeast infections in BOTH ears, had been chewing on her paws turning them pink, scratching vigorously, had red eye discharge, and vomiting, and had been almost daily. Apparently, a dog can still receive a health certificate and fly with those issues. Interesting. Ms. S***** stated that this puppy is already potty trained. She also told me that she had morning/car sickness and to not be too alarmed about this. I later asked about her weight again and she told me that her estimated maximum weight would be 4lbs. She said he current weight is 3-4 pounds and at 6 months would not get much bigger at all. Today Chloe is 14 months old now and 6+ lbs. She is noticeably larger than my other 5lb, 12yo Chihuahua. This is not what I expected although I love her so much at this point she could grow to be a Great Dane and nothing would change. I had hoped with all the years of experience her estimate would have been closer but it is what it is. After my initial vet visit and getting medications to heal her ears I was told to keep an eye on her coat, scratching, vomiting, and her little pink paws. It was also blatantly obvious that she was not potty-trained. I contacted Ms. S***** on 10/14/18 letting her know about the health issues and that it was obvious she was not potty trained. She disagreed and stated it was because she was in a new home and dogs mistake the potty pad for carpet. She never told me I needed wood floors in my home rather than carpet for potty training. The puppy was NOT potty trained, although I suppose the term is relative. We are STILL working on potty training 8 months later. It took my other dog two weeks. This puppy has still yet to urinate outdoors while on walks with my other one and is TERRIFIED of outdoors. Ms. S*****'s response was "if you re no happy ship back please thank you." This infuriated me that this was her "go-to" answer rather than trying to work with me and put the puppy through added stress and more shipping. I let her know I would be filling a complaint with the BBB and she threatened to sue me if I filled a complaint, alleging "fraud" although these are my factual events and I have First Amendment Rights that allow me to share about my experience. I have a feeling I am not the only person that has been threatened with a lawsuit. If you ****** her name there are some VERY interesting facts that can be found. Chloe has food allergies and this had continued being bred into the genes, which, in my opinion is not a responsible breeder. Chloe also struggled with strange behaviors; terrified of the outdoors, people, being left alone, some aggression, pacing, eating my other dog's feces, etc. Chloe has really suffered over the past 8 months while we (vets and I) attempted to identify the cause of her symptoms. Most of her issues are cleared up now due to being prescribed a hydrolyzed protein diet although we are now working on identifying everything that she is allergic to and still working on the eye discharge. love this little girl to death but it has be a horrible experience up until this point. My reason for this review is not to defame Hollywood Chi's in any way as I believe there was no ill will/intent on the seller's part. I just wish that the seller would have been 100% up-front and honest and told me the weight was merely a guess, she is vomiting from food allergies or something that has yet to be identified, and has ear infections, etc. I could have had this fixed and treated 6 months ago while Chloe has suffered. I tried to resolve the matter with the seller and through BBB website although after WAY TOO MUCH back and forth and being unwilling to apologize and refund me for my vet bills I was advised to post a review.

Anyone that clones a runt like that is unethical and will only continue for money. First off, these Chihuahuas are unethical because they are not breeding to standard. Any breeder breeding out of standard is not to improve the breed, but is in it for $. Any breeder that is breeding 40 some females and has almost 30 mall look es…see her sires and dams, is a puppy mill. All dogs and pups cannot possibly live in her home amongst her family. Appointments are made so they can set up. Her calling out people showing the breed and breeding for right reasons are called out.

She is currently selling dogs over 50 Grand a piece that were cloned from Miracle Millie from the Guinness Book of World Records. Anyone that clones dogs has questionable ethics and if you just Google Vanessa similar and dog cloning there's a whole article about it.

Vanessa Semler is a " bait & switch" breeder. She agrees to sell a tiny chihuahua, with pictures, then sends a completely different larger chihuahua .

Dont trust her.
