Oct. 28th, A letter from Higbee & Asso was received addressed to the San Juan Association of Educational retirees claiming that they were representing Hearst Holdings and King Features Syndicate Division and demanding the payment of $1,875 in copy right violations. The letter stated we had 14 days to reply, and it was dated on October 21, 2022. We will be filling a complaint with the offices of the Attorney General in both the state of California and New Mexico. This information was given to to the paralegal, Claudia Navarrete when the office of Higbee & Asso was called: 800.716.1245
Desired outcome: To have Higbee & Associates stop this action and stop contacting our organization. We are retired, old people and it has been very upsetting for some of our members. A written apology to them would be very appropriate.
