I have something I want to share so it doesn’t happen to anyone else like me who is looking to purchase a dog. I wanted to get another Olde English Bulldogge for a quite a while. Spent a long time looking. Wanted to get another brindle like my Lars. Lots of people I talked to here in California raved and bragged that their dogs were Hermes OEBs. I had never heard of that line so I looked them up. Read a lot of good stuff. It even says that Mr. Hermes was one of the first to re-introduce the OEB line. So I emailed their website and told them I was looking for a brindle OEB puppy. Ms. Hermes emailed me back and sent me pictures of a couple of puppies and of course I fell in love with the brindle. (See picture.) I asked for pictures of his mom and dad and she sent them. (See pictures.) We agreed on a price and she let me know when Harley would come home to me. He came by truck and we picked him up at LAX. First thing I noticed was how skinny he was – he was emaciated. (See picture.) And he was COVERED in fleas. Took him home, bathed and de-fleaed him and he ate like he was starving. Two days later you could tell he wasn’t feeling too well. Was lethargic and didn’t seem to want to eat. The next day he started having blast out diarrhea. Made an appointment with the vet and got the worst news possible. He tested positive for Parvo. Thanks to wonderful medicine, the best vet in the world and 24/7 love and care he made it through. I was so scared. He also tested positive for Isospora, Giardia and Coccidia. When I was finally able to reach Ms. Hermes by email and someone at her facility by phone, they denied that there was anything wrong with Harley when he left their yard and none of the other pups in the litter were sick. I called the transporter and he said that none of the other dogs were sick and he always disinfected his truck. In our agreement for the purchase of Harley she advised that all of her pups and dogs come with a lifetime guarantee. I asked that she reimburse me for the money paid for the vet and medication bills. She said she would. Now she won’t respond to my emails and I haven’t received a penny from her. She is a POS. I love Harley with all my heart, he is our baby now and I wouldn’t trade him for anything else but he doesn’t look like any OEB I have ever seen. (See pictures.)
