Hell Fire Gun Dogs / Angela Monaghan review: Springer Spaniel Puppymill 17

Regardless of whether any of the allegations in this thread are true, the juvenile bickering between the names parties is enough to turn me off of ever trusting either of them enough to be able to ethically breed.

I am glad that those who purchased dogs from Angela had a good experience and received dogs they are happy with. The woman you describe, however, is the complete opposite from the one I encountered while I was contemplating purchasing a field bred springer. The Angela I encountered was the one reflected in the letter Deanna attached. The back and forth here is confusing to those who are researching reputable breeders. I can only go with my personal experience with Angela to help decipher who is the unstable one in this back and forth. It's possible Angela has a great kennel, (as described by those who purchased dogs from Hellfire - assuming they are real), but without a shadow of doubt Angela is not a nice person. Before I purchased my Field Bred Springer I contacted many breeders from around the country to ask them questions about Field Bred Springer Spaniels, which I had never owned before. Every breeder was kind, gracious and patient with me, except one - Angela. When I contacted Angela and told her that I owned 2 wonderful tri-colored Bench Springers. She asked me where I purchased them from and I told her that I purchased them from a woman in an adjacent county. I think the fact that my dogs were Bench bred and sold to me by woman who wasn't a breeder by trade upset Angela a great deal. The woman I purchased my bench springers from purchased her two dogs from two reputable breeders out east and had her brother, who is a veterinarian, supervise the breeding and care of the puppies. That was the only time she bred her dogs, and I feel blessed to have purchased such fine springers. I believe Angela dislikes people who purchase bench springers and suffers from a superiority complex. Anyway, after Angela insulted me, by telling me that my two Bench Springers were "backyard bred" and that she would only sell her springers to "knowledgeable" people, I moved forward with a purchase elsewhere. The only reason I considered buying from Hellfire was because they were located about 8 hours away from where I lived. For those serious about buying outstanding Field Bred Springer Spaniels I have two recommendations from my long search for a reputable breeder; Ten Bar Ranch (TBR) Springers and Pine Shadows Springers. I have visited both kennels personally and I can tell you that they both run a top notch kennel. I purchased my field bred springer from TBR in Lake Andes South Dakota and I sent my Springer to Pine Shadows for advanced gun dog training in Brainerd Minnesota. If you want to buy an outstanding Field Bred Springer, either one of these two kennels will make you very happy. If you don't like doing business with bad people, I recommend avoiding doing business with Hellfire Springers.

I have unfortunately been around Angela Monaghan many times in field trials and the woman is a complete monster. Every time she shows up at the trials we all cringe. She is known as the "Queen B". A royal [censored]. Anything she has posted is most likely due to her competitive nature and her spoiled self righteousness attitude. Its very obvious Mrs Lamphier doesn't have a puppy mill. And knowing Angela its very likely she has created many fake user names that she posts on here with. She is very evil and underhanded in all of her dealings. I have known a couple people that have quit competing in field trials just because of Angela Monaghan. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. I would assume any intelligent person can see through Angela's evil games she plays with everyone that doesn't bow down to her. If you want the real truth, contact anyone who has the misfortune of being around her during a field trial event

Deanna Doyra Lamphier, the SpanielHybrids lady, is a delusional liar who clearly can't get her facts straight. I am from Missoula and Ed Franceshina was not an AKC Inspector. I called and verified this myself. AKC Inspectors are full time AKC employees. Ed was the Missoula Animal Control Officer and many of us in the ESS and Clumber rescue community emailed and contacted him expressing our concerns as the Bear Country litters and number of dogs grew to staggering and horrifying levels. When you think about it, anybody who truly cares about the welfare of dogs should have been badgering him. She was breeding puppies to make more puppies and also breeding them twice a year. In his capacity as Animal Control Officer of Missoula County, Ed did ultimately remove the last 15 dogs from her place in Frenchtown after she ran off and abandoned them. As with many of her poorly bred springers over the years, they too ended up in shelters and rescue services. A few of her Clumber - Springer hybrid "Clumingers" also ended up in shelters. Even all the backyard springer breeders in Montana know who Deanna Lamphier is and wisely won't let their purebred puppies and dogs go anywhere near her.

This is a frivolous and unwarranted attack against what is probably one of the best English Springer Spaniel breeders in the United States. I have had one of her puppies for nearly a year now and he is hands-down the best dog I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. She doesn't just hand her dogs out to anyone, which is a welcome relief from breeders who just want to see a check. My dad purchased another springer a couple years ago and he is equally wonderful. My puppy was ready to go after pheasants within his first six months, had no issues with shotgun noise, and learns commands by the third or fourth try. She is part of her pack and if you take one of her puppies they need to be part of your pack as well. I would buy a puppy from her every year if I could.

Her concern is about the welfare of the breed and the condition of the dogs. I have met some springers from disreputable breeders that go crazy in their old age and attack kids or people. Angela would not allow that to happen.

Completely baseless and fabricated and written by whackos. We too have a wonderful Hellfire puppy and have nothing but nice things to say about this breeder. We live in Missoula and are already planning on adding another puppy from this breeder in the next year or two. Nobody in Montana raises puppies better than Angela and we are happy to toss in our support. This is no puppy mill - no way. This is an excellent, dedicated breeder of very high quality dogs.

We purchased a puppy from Angelia last year. We spent a lot of time figuring out the breed of dog we wanted and a lot longer finding the right breeder. I have to say it was time well spent. She is breeder who cares about her dogs as if they were her children and looks for solid homes for them to be raised. When going through the application process she laid out all of her expectations upfront. She was always available prior to getting our new puppy and has continued to do so.
We traveled 13hrs and met her at her home to get our dog. She was welcoming and upfront. We were able meet some of her other dogs and see how well cared for they all were. I would highly recommend her as a breeder any day.

I am very sorry my good friend and fellow RESPONSIBLE English Springer breeder, Angela Monaghan, is having to deal with these slanderous accusations. The fact of the matter, Deanna Lamphier is extremely well known with the English Rescue Groups across the US...she is, I am afraid, "not right"...
Many of us in Springer-dom wish to see this horrible woman put out of business. It is very easy to figure it out, ask those of us that belong to the parent club, English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association. We have all known about this woman for about a decade and many of us warn people about her.
She lives in Angela's back yard, so, I think she has a pretty good idea.
I, personally, have dealt with her, and she is one whacked out woman.
Rescue can tell you countless stories about the dogs, from her, that have come into rescue. No need to lie. There is a paper trail.

I have a feeling Deanna/Dee Doyra Lamphier Chinadle (or whatever name she is using this year) is off her bipolar meds ...or is having a break down because she can't sell her Clumber/Springer mutt puppies again. (What is wrong with you people who buy those super ugly things?!)

Hey, I haven't been to a field trial in Bozeman in 13-14 years and certainly never had an unsportsmanlike moment anywhere or in any sport I've ever competed in. (Newsflash: I also played collegiate tennis.) However, I am very happy to say that there are indeed a handful of very nice Hellfire puppies in field trial homes and over a dozen currently in hunt test homes, and all are doing really well! I am thrilled that more are in agility, obedience and tracking homes. I guess those are just a few of the reasons I am a proven, reputable English Springer Spaniel AKC Breeder of MERIT and you aren't. I've been competing in AKC events for almost 20 years now, made three master hunters before ever breeding a litter and have EARNED the right to breed my dogs. The very best part is that after all of these years I still love training my dogs to the highest levels possible, have a blast competing at dog events all over the country, have boxes full of ribbons and folders of titles to prove it, and have hundreds of like minded, reputable, decent, kind, passionate purebred doggy friends! :D

As far as the not accepting your legal or court papers, bring it on Deanna and Jim. Both of you losers in life are laughable. You don't have the money for this fight unless you have saved up all our mental disability welfare checks. Every single time you write on this ridiculous site and maliciously attack a highly accomplished breeder of MERIT, you just sink your miserable dark hole a little deeper, make yourself look a little crazier, a little more like the jealous, classless illiterate we all know you to be, and make it harder to fool people into thinking that buying a poorly bred mixed breed mutt is better than a well bred purebred dog with an outstanding pedigree, proven talent and verifiable OFA health testing...the kind of dog you have never owned in your entire miserable, deranged life.

They are whackos breeding poorly bred clumber spaniels to poorly bred springer spaniels and producing mixed breed mutts under the website www.cuddlebugpuppies.com They have changed their business name and selling location many times and it looks like they are now listing it as Potomac on puppyfind.com. It is obvious to anybody who reads this crap who is doing the attacking and who isn't and who has the sick and twisted jealousy issues and who doesn't. I doubt either of these people are employable and for good reason! Anybody who breeds mixed breed mutts for a living isn't breeding dogs for the right reasons and there are 100 articles on google explaining why this is. People who buy mixed breed mutts when there are 1000 of them at dog shelters waiting to be adopted aren't the most responsible dog owners on the planet and you should be ashamed of yourselves! We now own an adorable Clumber Spaniel purchased through a reputable Breeder of Merit and would encourage others looking for an English Springer puppy or a Clumber spaniel to do likewise. Purebred dogs rule!

In reference to all the negative, misleading information floating around the web. I would personally like to set the record straight.
In 1997 I purchased three totally unrelated Springer's locally through out Montana, two females and a male, whom lived to a ripe old age of 14, 15 & 16. They were as healthy and as sweet as can be :) no health problems ever ! At that time I contacted the local English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association requesting information & asking how to join, I was interested in enrolling my Springer's in AKC field events. I was quickly notified by "whom I believe" to be Angela Monaghan the owner of Hellfiregundogs. I was told I did not qualify to be part of their association because I was a puppy mill with dogs that were not worthy of competing. I believe it was Angela because of the instant unprofessional response. I had 3 dogs? And then the horror/stalking/slander began !
From that point on she has tried to make it her life long mission to make my life basically a living hell with her lies, false complaints, and harassment. She has contacted AKC, Animal Control, the Montana State Attorney General, BBB, Springer Rescue, and anyone else that would listen to her lies. In 2007 she complained to AKC that we had as many as a 100 dogs on our property, and requested the do an unannounced visit. Obviously her efforts in contacting these other organizations got her no where as I did NOT have a puppy mill but rather a very well maintained and organized family run kennel. We had 26 adult dogs, five of which were spayed and neutered house pets and 2 litters of puppies.
In the last 18 years of breeding I have run into genetic problems in some of our puppies (as most all breeders do) with some of the so called excellent champion show and champion field lines that I had purchased. I had nine complaints TOTAL (in eighteen years) ranging from Springer rage, blindness, epilepsy, allergies & parasites. I believe these genetic problems were due to the extensive line breeding that occurs in champion bred pedigrees. Parasites were brought into my kennel with dogs I had purchased from so called respectable breeders. That is why I no longer breed purebred Springer's. In the last 3 years I have only bred limited litters of Clumber/Springer cross puppies that have had no health issues or any kind of parasites.
Last year we had 6 very adorable healthy, happy litters ~ two of which were co-owned. All of them went to very loving homes that have stayed in contact with us. :)
Please see the attached response from Ed Franceschina (an AKC inspector) to Angela Monaghan, which is just one piece of paper out of many boxes that I have collected over the years showing her obsession & lies. She has used these officials as a form of harassment, with every one of them proving her accusations to be false.
I own four females and two males that are our family pets. I am a hobby breeder now because of my deep love for the Springer and Clumber Spaniels and I cant imagine my life with out them! Angela is still referring to me as a puppy mill, but after recently looking at her website/blog it appears she has almost 30 dogs!... 15 females and 13 males. It appears he now has more dogs than I did three years ago when she was calling me a puppy mill. If you read through her blog you can see that she has had her share of health problems as well. In my opinion she is very narcissistic and is not a very nice person AT ALL ! Feel free to contact AKC representative Mr. Ed Franceschina with any questions you may have in regards to Angela Monaghans outrageous lies, I have always been in compliance with AKC`s rules and regulations. I am also in the process of legal action against Ms. Angela Monaghan.

Hi, this is Angela Monaghan with Hellfire Gundogs and I am just now finding out about the nonsense being posted here after somebody else recently pointed it out to me. This is indeed a fake complaint. I keep meticulous records, remember every puppy I've ever placed and have never sold a dog to anybody in Cascade, Montana or one with epilepsy, as it is virtually unheard of in American bred field bred springers. Even more obvious, is that no "smiley" abusing illiterate would ever get through my puppy screening process. Furthermore, my puppy contract was written by a lawyer and is a binding contract that offers fair protections to both buyer and seller. Everybody who has ever bought a puppy from me has access to my cell number, email, Facebook and 24 hour support, no matter where I am working in the world and I'm not a shrinking violet that backs away from anything.

Jim Chinadle (deranged person posting above from CASCADE) and his dysfunctional girlfriend Deanna Doyra breed clumber spaniel/springer spaniel hybrids for money. Unethical people desperate for paypal money, do that kind of dog breeding. I have filed police reports against them for openly threatening my life and my dogs, and have selected a very good lawyer to deal with them soon enough.

I have been breeding for 15 years, and as an AKC Breeder of Merit have significant kennel accomplishment. I have a legacy of outstanding dogs earned through hard work, passion, dedication, love of the breed and much planning. Every dog I've ever bred has been fully health tested. I will not stand for LOSERS breeding mixed breed mutts, to criminally defame and maliciously besmirch any of it.

It must just be one of Angela Monaghans unhappy customers from her puppy mill. All one has to do is look at the posts written by you liars and see its a pathetic attempt at harassing us. For example saying we ship underweight, sick, under aged puppies with fake health certificate's through the help of the vet and airlines. That's as ridiculous and made up as all of the rest of your posts. We have a beautiful home full of happy spaniels. :) We only have 4 females with limited litters and anyone who puts a deposit down is more than welcome to come visit.
