Our vet said we would get a rebate by buying a year's supply of Heartgard. We did as instructed and received the Visa Debit card. I tried activating online and by telephone and could not activate the card. I cannot reach anyone on line or by phone - the recording says "I'm sorry, please try again" or "failed to activate". I'm assuming this is a scam. Card # is [protected].
Desired outcome: Activated card that I can actually use.
I tried to use mine towards my Verizon FiOS internet bill - two months in a row - and each time it seemed to go through without a hitch, yet it didn't, because Verizon kept charging my checking account the full amount each month. The next challenge is figuring out which merchant will accept it, since I do most of my shopping online, and the card can't be used "at gas pumps, ATMs, or recurring payments." Very inconvenient! No more Heartguard for me or my Nellie! (I have a doctor friend who won't give it to her dog, because she says it's too TOXIC)!
