I called a medical facility to confirm they accepted my insurance. They said yes. However, the only way to make an appointment is online once you register. So I registered and I was given a choice to choose my insurance provider and the person on the phone said to pick Aetna since they are the parent company of my insurance provider. So I did. Once I scheduled the appointment I got notice at 5pm that afternoon stating they don't take my insurance. So I cancelled immediately and now they are charging me $500 for an appointment I did not attend and cancelled. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy but there was no way for me to know they did not accept my insurance.

Same happened to me. We need to sue them.

Please see the comment above, the exact same thing happened to me and the greasy sales representative told me it would be ok to cancel and that I wouldn’t be charged. Thankfully, my CC company won me back my money. They are scammers.
