I opened the seal of my Pineapple Tidbits and an ant floated to the top just before I was going to down the pineapple jucie. I called Walmart, they didn't seem like it was a big deal. I spoke with the Manager he asked when I purschased the pineapple, did I have the receipt. I told the purchase was anywhere between 1 to 2 months I had them in the frig. I didn't have the receipt, he told me to bring in the remaining product and he would replace them with another. I told him I didn't want another, I also told him that he could potentially have a product recall. I gave him the info on the container and ask would be call Great Value and let them know about the complaint. He told me he could call them but he wouldn't be able to get in contact with them until Monday. The manager told me to give the information from the container to an associate. The associate took the information and that was it. I feel like they didn't believe me and they were not going to do anything about it. Container batch number is JG23 12:55 Best by 01/23/12 CTJ

Forgot to mention some red colored foods use a "natural" food coloring that comes from a cochineal bug.

It's not unusual to find bugs in fruit and veggies... in fact a certain percentage is allowed by FDA as gross as that sounds. Just because it's the first ant you've seen doesn't mean it's the first ant you've had...
