Granton Singapore
Claimed as an advertising & marketing company. With a history of representing several F&B giants, reputable spas and fitness centres.
1. They claimed that they are representatives of many huge F&B groups, which includes Sizzlers, Hard Rock Cafes etc... These are large organisations... do they really need such "Ancient Methods" of marketing from such companies? I have my doubts about them, but truly enough they have these companies posters & marketing design prints all over their premises...
Question: Isit authentic or can anyone just fake & print it there?
2. Long & hard hours of promoting & selling. Employees or ex-employees like me slogged for hours selling privilege cards... Sometimes even going into OT, in order to bring sales to the company... I felt cheated & absolutely made used by them, as i worked myself crazy getting $10-$15 for per card sold at $29.90, while the managers just sit around within the office & wait to collect our hard-earned cash...
Question: Isit right for employees to work such long hours? Is there a law against such, that employees like me will not be cheated by such companies that many people claim to be scam, MLM cheats..

For all disgruntled ex-employees out there, CNA (3 Mar 2013 10.30pm)
endorse Granton marketing.
To watch the vid, please proceed to the link here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdyT2gJAAXk

This is the scoop Granton has been waiting for.
Just the recognition by mainstream media is enough boost
for the merchandisers out in the sun.

Like Country Manager, Arabad said " Instead of waiting for customers
to come...hoping that they come, we push the deal to them, for them
to come straight away"
Which SME or Franchise owners would say no to that?

Hopefully, those ex-employees will take back their allegations of abuse
from this board.

Good Day to all Granton Marketing/Granton World/Optimo International/ Ideal Approach victims! Let me share to you my experience with this company. I found their misleading job opening at JobStreet.com and received their email inviting me over for an interview on September 10 by Nomer Ordinario. I came over the office in San Miguel, Pasig City and this Nomer guy conducted my interview with his arrogant attitude and asked me to come over next day for my second interview/observation day.

On my observation day, I was assigned to Bernard Bernardo and stayed in SM Mall of Asia when we were assigned in Makati Avenue. He was bragging that he didn't sell anything for 2 weeks in his first month and claiming he earned Php70, 000 on his first month (What a show off! If he really earned that much, why he couldn't buy himself a new phone or clothes?), I was somehow amazed with his claims and accepted the job. He even asked me to come over the next day for my first day,

On my first day, I was surprised with all the noise and everything. There’s this juice thing, fake smiles, practice pitching, goal setting and all the crap and I’ve been doing that for a month. All I can say that this is a bad company especially to all the fresh graduates out there. They promise for a basic salary regardless of your sales after two weeks, it is already a commission based. They are also claiming that they are not sales because there is no quota but it is a pointing system so therefore IT IS A SALES! The people I have worked are all arrogant because they have drop 7-10 cards where in fact they didn’t even drop anything.

These people don’t give a damn about your well-being and they only care about your money, like one time I broke my leg while on my way to work and forced me to work. Or even the time a snatcher stole my bag with the products inside. They still push me to drop a card even though all my belongings were stolen (good thing I had my cellphone and ID). They also promise for my return money but they canceled it. Or even the time my grandmother passed away and they wouldn’t allow me to leave or never come back to work. But I did come back after that week.

If you didn’t sell anything for the day, you are required to walk an extra mile. Worst of all, they are giving direct marketing and all marketing profession a bad name. Deceiving people that this is a very good job where in fact this is the worst. No cash bonds will be given to the previous employees. WHAT A LIAR! Good thing my friends were smart enough not to pursue this kind of opportunity (if you even consider this). It was a big mistake for me and learned my lesson, I didn’t spent another day in that whack job company although the only consolation I got was friendship from my co victims who were also previous employees of Granton. This is not the only branch in the Philippines but they also have offices in Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Cagayan de Oro and they are planning to grow all over Philippines. Fresh graduates, never allow yourselves to become a victim of these companies because they will only waste your time, money and possible your reputation. Although the products are cheap and somehow authentic, their working habit is not ethical. I even doubt if they are recognized in the Department of Labor and Employment in the Philippines. Better do your research and take pre-cautionary actions. God Bless us all!

I just bought the Domino Pizza Promotions recently... Wow the deal is good though despite your several complaints... The only thing i found it short of is that all the vouchers including the 2 free regular pizzas available for take-away... Maybe can improve more on that ya?

Im standing on the neutral grounds of this interesting forum... I dunno much about how their company operates but for all i know this Granton Marketing has been around for some times for as long as the past decade that i have been working in offices. Most of their staffs i met are very proffessional with a very good sense of humour... Its amazing meeting such guys who rough through the days and still able to put a smile for us... I have bought most of their F&B promotions, mainly Sizzlers, Amici, Olearys Singapore Flyers, even some really good fitness programmes like california fitness, true fitness for my kids... I must say the promotions are all pretty worhwhile especially the Holland Village Amici, and Sizzlers which is around my house... My family enjoy such offers and i think its quite worth it... comparing with all the other Giants like Groupons etc.. Keep it up.

Basically the restaurant is crowded because of the customers. New customers plus old regulars generated by Granton marketing guys like me in the past. It basically brought higher class restaurant dining into more affordable hands...

hahahas... thats the cutest of complaint comments i heard from anyone though... a $40 is a normal pay job for any sales assistant in departmental store and i have worked as a renovation trainee at $40 per day... But those days you were doing well were a whoopy $150 to $250 PER DAY! Sometimes i wonder why there are stil so many complaints on work. Every ounce of money equals every ounce of effort sacrificed...

Jobs is genuine but cant stand everyday waking up and having to face 100 customers and have to put on a healthy smile no matter whats the result of the day. On top of that, stability in the job... Some days, when doing well, im like a Queen or Princess, i drop 10 to 15 cards, earning $150 to $250 per day... some days as bad as just $40... I couldnt stand the job of being full of ups and downs... Although i must say the richest time of my working time is with them Granton though...

True, i do buy alot of internet products lately from Groupon, Deals.com etc... Especially F&B dining vouchers and Spas Treat. I must say those that i bought from my offices from Granton sales staffs are really by far more superior in terms of specialty in deals and what privileges are given away for a mere $30. I recently bought a card from restaurant at holland village and from singapore flyers... both restaurants give away free well mixed cocktails and even wine bottles on first visits steppin in there... on top of their 1for1 maincourses deals "Granton Card" which can be used repeatedly... I find it really worthwhile. However what lacks is as mentioned before, varieties that Groupons etc gets to offer on a daily basis. Thats the most lacking side of the deal.

I agree to the comments made above and stand on the firm ground of "man" other than scam in terms of working... for i have been working for this company Granton for a short while before... Frankly speaking, physically its a very demanding job... But throughout my time there progressing from a distributor to a leader i learnt the most important traits in life: Perseverance & Maintaining of attitude. Is seriously never easy. Like many gurus said. Success is easy but maintaining it is the real task. I absolutely agree. Just like Im now in accounting job in another company... Im facing big headaches with figures as well as attending to numerous clients demands... Life is never an easy job. There's this word in Granton that we always use it. Its called JUICE if i remember corectly... well juice to all toughman in life and strugglers that have the desire to make life happens. With hard work and perseverance it will happen. God bless.

Personally i myself is also from the sales industry doing car sales all the way to insurance sales... Frankly to state the facts... Sales is one of the toughest job around with much controversies over tactics n methods of dealing in it. However one thing for sure there are black sheeps in our industries, but for a company to last that long, there's bound to be certain amount of goodness and trust in its trade as much as its complaints if not more... I have only word of encouragements for all the sales people out there... Lets learn, evolve n make ourselves a millionaire despite all critics thrown at us. f*** all the bad mouthing n concentrate on our more productive n enterprising work!

hey im a frequent buyers of internet products from big players like groupons & deals.com etc... But so far found Granton's deal of one for onr the most worth it. In terms of free gifts given to us & the unlimited amount of times i could use on the card deal of 1for1. And its only just a mere $30. The only lacks well i feel is Granton"s lack of varieties in compared with others... Otherwise its good job. Thumbs Up.

Oh yes i also bought one of those cards, and its from Amici restaurant at Holland Village. It gives away a bottle of wine n allows consumers to get one for one free maincourses... Well i think the deal is absolutely fantastic as i have personally been down to the restaurant myself. But felt that the deal was abit short. Just for a mere 5months only.

I have been a direct salesman for the past few years with quite afew companies here. Namely the more established and successful ones being Granton, Appco ... To be frank i have the most freaking ### experience... And ironically all the bad experiences are nothng to with the company management... however are from the customers and people from the so call higher corporate executives, who we approach while doing our promoting of our products... Their ### ### attitude and mannerism makes me ponder about what sort of higher corporate people we singapore really have employed... Bad behaviour from them thinking with their certificates and nice dressings, working in big offices, the way they treat us sales people...Rude and horrible... Dont they know that we are trying to do our job as a sales people, and earning our responsibility to put rice bowl for our family? Zzz

Hi i have basically been working with Granton for quite awhile this year during my march school holidays, so more or less i can provide some ideas to your queries... In fact all the cards they are selling are authentically their clients and during my time with them, i experienced the reality of life that, door to door business is really a tough job. Many often rudely treated by so called executives... I didnt have a dislike over at this company though. It gave me reflective moment in life that, in life and in working, we have to put in effort go through hardship with perseverance then we can earn our worthy fruits in our baskets... Though just a mere 3 months there, i did enjoy my time there & there are really times thats very very tough. too long hours that i almost gave up. But i earn valuable life reality experience there.

I just went for an interview at Granton in the afternoon. A guy interviewed me didn t even know his name coz he didn t even introduce himself.I applied as a marketing exec.In their ads, they would put "like to go to the movies?" & state the positions...many. Pay [protected].Min 'O' levels. 36C Hongkong st(near clarke quay). Back to my story. Ok...the application form has only 1 page...not even a front & back page.I find it weird coz i m applying for an exec post.
I have nothing against direct sales but companies like this give the industry a bad name...making us harder to trust smaller companies to join them.It s about time someone goes in as an undercover to remove such companies. In the eyes of the public, salesmen are shady people who con ppl just to earn.I am pro business & I want to see sales people use ethical methods to do sales. It s about time...
