This is what is going on: Mrs. Katona lives in the state of Ohio and we live in the state of Missouri, we purchased a light apricot toy poodle puppy. In her false ads in www.puppyfind.com and in her website www.grandriverpoodles.com she is selling her puppy for $1, 300.00 without AKC papers. We paid her $1, 500.00 because we were promised to have the puppy with her AKC limited papers. We paid $200.00 for the AKC papers. She claims to be a top breeder, who has won multiple shows, and is in very high standing with AKC. After paying $1, 500.00 plus $375.00 for shipping, plus all PayPal charges, I paid close to $2, 000.00. Her website states when you receive your puppy you will receive a complete vet exam, health certificate, airline approved crate, a soft bed with food and water. The ad in www.puppyfind.com states I will also receive a copy of her pedigree.
After I paid her completely, and complied with all of her requests, and paid the $375.00 for shipping, it is my understanding that the shipper is responsible in obtaining the airline that will transport the puppy from point A to B. In fact, I am the one that had to find all the information on the two different air carriers, because she was to busy to do this herself. Remember, I already paid her the fees, she was the one responsible for doing all of this.
When I received the puppy, the crate was used, the feeding bowls were bent, and the so called soft called bed was a used kitchen rag with holes in it. ( I have pictures to prove it). There was no food or water in any of her bowls. When I took the puppy out of the cage she was not given a bath or groomed and had dried feces stuck by her anal area. The only paper work I received was the health certificate allowing her to travel. I never received copy of the vet exam, the soft bed, her AKC papers and her pedigree papers I was promised.
When I contacted Mrs. Katona inquiring about the papers for the puppy including AKC papers, shot and vet records, she said there are not vet records. I asked her how am I supposed to know what shots she had because she is supposed to be current, she said she is the vet. But in her ads and website says that her puppies are thoroughly checked by a local vet. Besides that she told me that in order for me to get her AKC papers I have to pay her a fee of $500.00. So I asked her if the puppy is $1, 300.00 without AKC papers, and $1, 500.00 with limited AKC papers, which I paid, now I have no papers, and I asked her what was the extra $200.00 I paid you for, she could never respond to me. So now I paid for a mutt. So I have a puppy with no pedigree, no AKC papers, no shot records, nothing. Up to now I want to know what I paid $1, 500.00 for.
When I told her I want all of my money back, because I felt and still feel defrauded and what I was promised I never got, her response to me was this: She will out of all the money, she will deduct $300.00 for a non-refundable fee plus she will not be refunding the PayPal charges, and all of the sudden after she gets the dog back she needs to take the dog to a local vet for a checkup, after she told me she was the vet, and she said that the vet bill will be deducted from my money. So in return the only money I will get back, from the almost $2, 000.00 I paid, might be $300.00-400.00. I even gave her a chance and called her back, I told her I would let everything go if she sends me the shot records and AKC papers, and her response was “there are no papers for you”.
I have all my paperwork my PayPal receipts, copies of the www.puppyfind.com ads, and the copy of the website advertisement for the puppy she sold us.
I also have photos of the puppy and the cage when I picked her up from the airport. I already contacted the police department, PayPal, and the Better Business Bureau, Consumer’s Affairs Office.

Well, I just got an email from this "breeder" and then again a second one saying that she did not sent it, that her foster child and step daughter sent it in her name, oh, and that they are minors... yet again in the email she talks about specifics of the case and sent me pedigree of both parents of the puppy she scammed me with. What minor would know all of that? Talk about bipolar disorder... Beware of this breeder...This is the letter.

Dear Robert and Family,
I did not respond to the Pay-Pal notifications per your request to have funds paid for the puppy returned to you.
The funds have been returned to you per your request via your credit card company and Pay Pal.
I am not taking any action in this matter.

I am asking you to send payment to us via pay pal or your choice for the price you understood you were to pay for the puppy.

You have requested her AKC to prove to you she is not a mutt, as stated to the BBB.
I will obtain and send you her AKC papers.
I will give you full registration on these papers and not charge you the additional fee for her papers.
*****I ask that you do not breed her unless she is over 5 1/2 # at 18 months of age. Please understand and inquire with your Vet it is in her best interest.
If in fact she goes over that critical size requirement of my suggestion, and the Vet feels it is safe for her...proceed with mating her to a qualified stud.
You have in your possession a marvelous puppy from an excellent back ground and linage of toy poodles.

I have not ever had a complaint with a puppy and I did not intent to misrepresent her in any way.
I was extremely excited in regard to your plan to visit us. We are very proud of our toy poodles and their puppies and love buyers to witness them in person.
I understand your schedule and the cost to visit us. It is unfortunate it did not work out as planned for your personal visit.

Her Mother Zsa Zsa is much larger than she will be (in accordance with the growth chart of a toy poodle puppy, your puppy is estimated to be a smaller toy and her whelping was difficult for her.
Many times the offspring females follow their mothers to the T in the whelping history. I expect if in fact you do choose to breed her, she will carry 3 very healthy chubby, well fed puppies at birth.
The most important factor will be
1) can she carry them full term
2) will she be able to feed them and sustain their weight after birth.
3) will she need a C-Section to deliver the puppies (risking both her life and that of the puppies with anesthesia, the cost for this procedure is very high.
4) your experience, as you have bred in the past is helpful.
a) the puppies may need oxygen
b) it may be necessary to tube feed the puppies, please learn far early in her 63 day gestation period so you are prepared for this event

If you breed her, I will be here on the other end of the phone to assist her in any way I am able.

Zsa Zsa was a young female when I bred her.
I breed our Brandy on her second heat as well. In order to obtain Brandy's AKC papers we were required to submit paper work to the AKC via our Vet that she was examined during the gestation period and she in fact was carrying a litter. Often times a female does not take when she is this young. Zsa Zsa herself was not registered until after the puppies "were on the ground" as breeders refer to a successful deliver of live puppies. There were no issues with the litter...completely healthy and grew well. The actual deliver was an issue with Zsa Zsa. Her deliver was very hard on her. The 3 puppies came 6 hours apart.
Zsa Zsa did not require medical attention. Her issues was she was frightened and very tired and did not want to do this thing (labor or deliver) unfortunate against her wishes "this thing was going to happen"

I am going to process papers on Zsa Zsa's litter today. Her AKC number is PR15465202. Registered name is "Grand River's Hungarian Gal Zsa Zsa" call name ZsaZsa.
The sire is "Grand River's Royal Louie Do It" his AKC # is PR12564406 his AKCrecorded DNA # is V618021. Call name Louie.
In a separate statement I will send a purchase agreement which verifies my offer to give you AKC papers and open registration.
In the event it is impossible to obtain her AKC papers, I will provide you with the e-mail from the AKC. I suspect it will take some time to receive the papers as I will need to prove the puppy belongs to her. I may be required to send in her DNA for confirmation at my cost. To finish the transaction I will send you a DNA test kit at my cost. You will swab her mouth as the instructions explain and send it to the address on the kit. This will prove that puppy came from Zsa Zsa and Louie. It is a very simple procedure on your part.

In addition if you request me to do so and would like, I will send you a red male from Cherry and Champion Firewalker free of charge including Vet, shipping, crate, food and water and a soft bed as soon as he is old enough and is properly prepared with maturity to fly and you can arrange to pick him up.
This is my offer to satisfy you and my good standing as a faithful excellent breeder. Please except him as a gift from us. He will come with open registration in your name.

Pay-Pal has offered me $250. and the charges for the transactions paid by you. Their reason is, I have been a faithful customer to them, they apologize ect. and it is their way of thanking me for using their service. I declined their offer as they are not responsible for the transaction between you and I.

If you choose to not make payment for the Apricot Toy Poodle sent to you via air, it is our total financial loss.
I will still hold up my end to send you a red male as described above at no cost to you.

I am not admitting any wrong doing of the transaction on our part.
It is an unfortunate situation for both parties that you were not 100% pleased with every facet of her proper care while in our custody. aka arrived never groomed, without food and water, dirty bottom, proper Vet care and her bedding.
My explanation is so you understand
1) She would be unable to board the plane without examination and certification of health via our Vet. Madison Veterinary Hospital of Madison Ohio.
2) She would not be able to board the plane without water and food.
I provided water as well as ice cubes as it was a hot day and I wanted to assure plenty of cold water for her during her transport to her new family.
3) while waiting for her flight she soiled her soft bedding and the towel is all I had with me in the vehicle.
4) There is no way I would intentially send a puppy with feces on her bottom.
If this were the case that she were not cared for properly for a period of time her
bottom would be red and painful due to feces stuck to her. I understand your concern in this matter and the possibility it did occure during her transport.
I apologize for this as it is not our practice as you know aka Gina.
5) I give the injections as most breeders do. I give the puppies worming medication at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks if they are still with us at this age.
Each and every puppy has their feces tested during their final exam when the puppy is completly gone over by our Vet.
I do not pretend to be a Vet or act as a Vet. As stated above I provide worming medications (many parasites are inactive and do not release until the Mothers milk is released after whelping) As a precautionary measure we provide wormings to be sure the puppies are not effected and all worms or parasites if present are removed from the puppies body. Any Vet or research will verify this fact.
6) I insert a micro chip to be installed in the puppy upon request of the new family for the cost which I purchase the micro chip.
7) We are in terrific standing with the AKC and are inspected every 2 years as required due to the amount of breeding during a calendar year.
If a party has less than 3 litters a year, paperwork is sent in to the AKC, but a home inspection is not required unless the residence is in question of improper care.

Talk this over and decide what if anything you are going to act upon.

Sincerely,
Roberta Katona

Ay Roberta, the first puppy you sold me wasnt even yours. Was from another breeder. Why don't you re read the email you sent me offering me another dog? I paid you $1500.00 for a dog with akc limited papers. Your ad said $1, 300.00 no papers. What was the extra $200.00 for Roberta? Till this day you still can't answer that! Buyers beware, this breeder is running a puppy mill!

So who is lying? Not me.
Gina, the first puppy she sold me, belongs to another breeder. Barbara Brada.
She bought Gina for her to breed her, but then decided not to and resold her to us making us think the puppy was from her breeding line. What can you expect of a woman that lies so much? Nothing good.

Well, we came to a resolution, she was going to send me the AKC limited papers in my hand and I would update the websites stating that Mrs. Katona made good on her promise on satisfying us, the customer, for her mistakes. Even the other night before we made an agreement she wanted us to take out all of our comments we put on the forums because she said it was hurting her business. Again another scam by her. NOW she wants us to remove all of the posts and she will let the BBB hold the AKC limited papers and then release them to us once the post have been taking down. It looks like a lot of people out there are watching our back and their backs so they don't get SCAM from a breeder that she is. She said to my husband today she would really like those post down because her sales have gone DOWN THE DRAIN and people are questioning her reputation as a dog breeder.
I am willing to send a copy of the so called "resolution" Mrs. Katona sent me to whoever wants to read it.

Subject: Complaint #: 754840, Offer of resolution

Hello Anne,
I left a message for you today, Jun 13, 2012 at approx. 11:00 to 11:30 am.
I have written and notarized a proposal to submit to clear up the complaint filed by Mr. and/or Mrs. Robert Starr. I will attach the notarized complaint for your acceptance and forward to Mr. Starr and his Attorney of record.
They suggested I mail it directly to them, yet, I feel your department would indeed be the place to start.

In summary:
I am too stressed to fight for my rights.
With over 50+ complaints filed by them such as internet complaint forums, BBB, AKC, your department and negative internet postings Mr. and Mrs. Starr have submitted.
It is affecting my ability to sleep, I am unable to eat and taking a lot of my time away from my Toy Poodles which I can not spare.

I am overwhelmed with phone calls of people wanting the gossip. I feel it is a private matter between seller and buyer and I do not have time to gossip.
I did receive one e-mail from an individual who wanted our puppy, yet, she had two reason not to obtain her. First reason, she felt my price was too high and secondly the recent complaint all over the internet from Mr. and Mrs. Starr., caused her concern.

Mr. and Mrs. Starr have their money back. I am going to allow them to keep the puppy, with no payment to me or requested by them from past, present or future, shall be allowed with the acceptance of this proposal.

I agree to order the AKC limited registration papers they so desperately fought for.
They verbally promise to remove their 50 + posted complaints completely as soon as they register the puppy in their names as rightful owners.
I do not trust this as they have promised to send her home, I sent them 2x the amount for the puppy to fly home and they changed their mind in 30 minutes after I sent the money as instructed by them through Money Gram. They did not collect the funds and I retrieved the money after 6 days. Very disappointing to me and in my experience they are extremely untrustworthy.
Is it possible for me to ask you to hold the AKC puppy registration papers, until all the negative postings are removed and all and agencies settled with this proposal.
I require all postings to be removed from the internet and unsearchable or viewable by the public or private agency.
I can not afford to seek counsel in this matter to have the papers help in escrow or such.
Please accept the high lighted area beginning with I do not trust, as a huge part of my proposal.

Thank You for your assistance in this matter.
If I may expedite my request in any way or you require additional information, please notify me.

Sincerely,
Roberta Katona

Please people if you want to buy a poodle, my advise would be to look somewhere else. Grand River poodles have beautiful poodles but their owner Roberta Katona is a deceiving woman. Please have her write a contract of sale before you send her any monies. She will try not to give you a contract, when you are paying the shipping fees for the dog like we did, the airline fee was $238.00 but she will charge you $375.00
In her ads she promises to give you a puppy bed, pedigree papers, and vet records. Make sure she puts that in her contract, like us, she put that in her puppy find ad and when we got our puppy from her, we never got the pedigree, vet records, limited papers, and a puppy bed.
"Most of all" make sure when you do intend to buy a puppy from her make sure you get your AKC limited registration papers.. Because again, we paid $1, 500.00 for a puppy that was supposed to come with papers and extras and did not... That when she starts asking for $500.00 for papers. For us when she did this to us our hearts felt to the floor, we have four small children ages 8- 5 months old. You would think after paying $1, 500.00 for a puppy plus $375.00 per shipping you would get something else than just a puppy in the cage.
Please beware of this first class scam artist who is called Roberta Katona of Grand River Poodles in Perry OH. AKA "the professional poodle breeder of merit who has won unlimited shows and is a down to earth honest person."
If you want me to email all the proof I have, emails, copies of ads, copies of website, don't hesitate to let me know and I will gladly do so.

Oh my goodness! What a LIAR! She did not return any money. We have proof of everything she scammed us with.. Emails, notarized documents, etc... If anyone wants to see them send me an email and I will sent you guys everything from the ad that she scammed me with until the notarized document where she states that the puppy and mother was not registered with AKC plus an official letter from AKC stating the same thing. SHAME ON YOU ROBERTA KATONA! SHAME ON YOU!

BEWARE! For all of those hard working people who are interested a toy poodle, PLEASE DO NOT purchase any from ROBERTA KATONA or her business GRAND RIVER POODLES, in Perry OHIO.
We are NOT the only ones who have complaints against her. There is a lady that purchased one of her puppies recently and the puppy was diagnose with giardia. She contacted Roberta Katona, and she NEVER responded back to the customer. Mrs. Katona puts in her ads that the puppies are vet check and current on all vaccinations... That is NOT true. This lady who purchased her puppy from Roberta was told she was also going to get vet papers and never did, in fact, Mrs. Katona is the one who gives her puppies her shots or vaccines. I have an email from her saying so. That is why when you purchase a puppy you don't know what you are getting. ONLY EMPTY PROMISES. Hmmmmmm... very familiar. We never got vet papers either or limited AKC which we paid an extra $200.00 for. If any of you want to know want to know the other customer name just shoot me an email, I will give you her email and phone number so you can see that Roberta Katona or "the breeder of Merit" that she calls herself is a FAKE, A SCAM ARTIST, SHE OVER PRICES HER DOGS, AND YOU NEVER GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR IN THE END. That is why she has many complaints in the BBB, attorney general's office of OHIO and consumer affairs. Look somewhere else before buying from her.

Below is the link of a lady that we found, she made a review in Amazon about a product for anti Parasitic for Pets where she mentions Grand River poodle as the breeder who sold her a sick puppy. I copied and pasted her review for all of you to read.
Amazon 5.0 out of 5 stars Kocci Free for treatment of Giardia, February 25, 2012
By Mahreenah - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kocci Free - All-Natural Anti-Parasitic for Pets (1oz) (Misc.)
Starting with the reason I bought Kocci Free. In Sept. 2011, I purchased a toy poodle puppy from a "registered" kennel, Grand River Toy Poodles. Unfortunately, after the puppy was in my possession, the breeder became more forthcoming about the dog and the care it received before I purchased it. The puppy did not receive full care from a licensed veterinary office. Her exact statement in an e-mail is "I provide most treatment for the puppies, until which time they are cleared with a final visit to the Vet and transferred to the new owner." The breeder even stated that she docked the puppy's tail herself. Anyway, the puppy was given to me with Giardia and coccidiosus. My vet, in another state, diagnosed the puppy with these problems; the breeder was completely unaware of it or that the puppy's 2 siblings had it. My vet prescribed Metronidazole Liquid 50mg/ml. Following the prescription, exactly, the treatment did not help. I even cut all the fur off the back quarter of the puppy's body so the stools would not stick to his fur or tail. The puppy was being litter box trained and the stools were disposed of immediately. I also wiped the dog after each bowel movement that occurred when I was at home. My vet suggested a second round of treatment with the warning that it may not cure the giardia. After a few days of research, I let my vet know I was going to try Kocci Free instead; there were no objections or questions. I ordered Kocci Free and followed the instructions. During treatment, there was no indication that it was helping; the puppy's stool remained soft. At the puppy's next visit, he was declared free of Giardia. Kocci Free works! The vet requested a follow up visit to re-test; my puppy was still free of Giardia. I have no connection, whatsoever, with the company, Amber Technology. Kocci Free can be trusted and I highly recommend it! As for the breeder, please feel free to contact me.

After all the hell Roberta Katona put our family through she just called us to apologize for all the wrong she did to us. Wow that was amazing. She even said that we could keep the dog as a gift for all the emotional damage she did to our family. Hope this time around she means what she told us and all her craziness will stop here.

After all this time, many calls and notarized papers where she states that I can keep the dog, she now says that I stole the dog from her... I am posting pictures of the notarized document she sent me through email where it says that she was going to send me the papers for the dog, which she never did. She now decided to slander my name all over the internet saying that I stole her puppy. Well here is the proof that I did not stole her puppy, proof that she gave me the puppy and that both parties were going to stop posting on the internet. Well she still doing so and worst, denying what a notarized paper says... Please stay away from Grand River Poodles. This has become a nightmare in our lives, and our children's lives.

Satisfied resolution for client. Our second puppy arrived May 2012, just like the first, 2 years ago via air from Grand River Poodles in Ohio, owner Roberta Katona. The new puppy is very socialized, full of personality and a happy healthy puppy. There was no issue or complaint with the puppy herself. The issue arose surrounding a misunderstanding regarding obtaining AKC papers for a puppy purchased as a pet. Our money has been returned to us, and seller and buyer are satisfied. We no longer have the puppy.

First of all, we were letting everybody know about our experience with the breeder. In our case there was never a misunderstanding. We were offered papers with the puppy. We have emails she sent us with the price of the puppy and with what that puppy come with. So we have all the proof. The breeder changed her mind so many times that is unbelievable.
I'm happy for you that your transaction with the breeder went well. For us it did not as we did not got what we paid for. Do the research yourself and you will find out we are not the only ones.
Have a good day and enjoy your puppy! :-)

April 15/12 I purchased a $1, 800 male puppy with breeding rights from Grand River Poodles. After jumping through many many hoops...like paid in full before arrival. Right there I should of known better & stopped. However, I didn't... My husband & I drove to Ohio staying one night in a motel as we were travelling from Ontario. The breeder knew where we lived and her website had said you get a vet certificate. When we arrived my boy had a shaven face and for the months prior I kept saying don't shave him and she said she wasn't but on that morning she "forgot". We toured the entire house, lots and lots of dogs everywhere..Roberta Katona hand wrote out a cardboard two fold immunization record of when the pup had its first shot. Again I don't clue in that this dog has never been seen by a vet and the second shot is actually due any day. Well I cross the border with just this document, thankfully the young trainee after pulling us over still didn't clue in either that their was no vet stamp on this "official" looking cardboard two fold. I take this little guy to my vet when I get home and shocked when my vet realizes that this little guy has never been seen by a vet..his condition was this, both ears full of thick yeast, when that was cleaned, down deeper was ear mites, hundreds of dollars later, he continued to have stomach problems for the next 6-8 weeks, his left eye has a blocked tear duct that needs attention and that's why his face was shaven, so I wouldn't see it. Now that his hair is grown out I have to keep it short around his eyes as it runs constantly. The puppy also needed to be caught up on the deworming schedule as Roberta had stopped at 7 weeks and I picked him up at 11 weeks 3 days old. Her response to me has been rude by phone, nice on emails...she has offered to replace the pup knowing full well we would not make that trip again, nor would she pay for my vet bill. Her response when confronted stated "that would cost me $75.00 for every pup"...well you charged me $1, 800! This has been also filed with the BBB and no resolution. When we viewed her house their were dogs in every room, playpen & stacked cages in the living room, a bedroom with stacked cages from floor to ceiling on 3 walls...I am extremely disappointed. BUT you see I'd paid "FULL UPFRONT" what were the chances of getting my money back when she wouldn't even spend $75 to take him to a certified vet. She gave the one and only shot he'd had herself! That is unheard of in Ontario! Now to date his latest problem is 3 large teeth on each corner of his lower jaw...the fun never stops. This breeder also did not have for me his pedigree. Again, a hand scribbled mess and when I protested she gave me a website to go to and print it out myself. Never again, "Grand River Poodles"...I had used another US breeder back in March 2012 (Michigan) and they were very professional and I have a healthy beautiful girl from them. Without even asking, her paperwork, vet doc, pedigree of both her parents etc. were all ready for me when I arrived and she has turned out to be a real sweetheart! (All that with just a deposit) Now that's professional!

It's July, 2022 and the puppy was purchased in March. Our issue is still unresoved. This is from Grand River Poodles website:

The AKC welcomes our toy poodle puppies to be registered with them

More information:

With either type of registration we, the breeder/seller, will aid you in the online registration before you leave our home We do not insist you register your puppy with the AKC.

It is certainly your choice if you do not want to register the puppy when the puppy is to be a loving pet.

There is a minimal fee charged by the AKC, not the breeder/seller to register either for Limited or Open Registration.

As the breeder/litter owner of your puppy, we have already registered the litter of puppies with the AKC.

You will receive what is referred to by the AKC as their "puppy application".

We, the breeder will fill out our part of the puppy application and sign ownership of your puppy over to you.

This is when you decide if you would like us to assist you at that time to register the puppy on line while at our home.

Whether you register on line or regular mail, if you offer an e-mail the AKC will send you specials.

We have a puppy from Grand River Poodles. He was born on 1-11-22 and our daughter picked him up on 3-27-22 and paid for him with cash I had given her. We paid $2,500. My adult daughter, in the excitement of getting a puppy for her Dad as a Birthday surprise from me, forgot to ask for a receipt, nor was she given AKC papers by the breeder, Roberta Katona. We have always purchased AKC puppies and knew that the papers are to be given to the buyers when the possession takes place. My daughter had not known that. We asked many times for a receipt for the cash paid but as of today, it has not come, nor has the AKC registration paper, as promised many times by Ms. Katona. We have contacted the Attorney General's office in Ohio and also the AKC. All are doing an investigation. If you want to spare yourself this time and grief, I recommend you do not buy a puppy from Grand River Poodles. Why is the AKC important to us? It's because we paid $2500 for this puppy (we love him dearly) and I want proof of what I paid for. We could have bought a puppy with no papers for a lot less money and I, once again, want proof of what I paid for. Is that asking too much that we get a receipt for the money paid and the AKC papers that were promised? You who are reading this deicide.

To me, this issue could so easily be resolved with no loss to the breeder, Grand River Poodles (Roberta Katona). She has $2500 and she just needs to write that she indeed received

the money AND she can send us the AKC papers she states she has. Why are we going through all this? How hard can this be?

:) Maybe we took the puppies in different people :).
1. When my vet looked schenkm was delighted with him.
Vaccinations for worms and other vaccinations are placed in age. For this reason, we were given a few more shots and the course of the worms.
Teeth are small breeds of dogs are long fall. For this reason, veterinarians have to watch them. But the teeth are changed to 8u months. So what charges to the breeder? The ears should also be cleaned. Mites can be at any dog and puppy. And it is not easy to determine the baby.
I think that anyone who takes a dog needs to understand that the dog will cost except payment for the purchase. And a lot of care. Of course, if it's not a toy dog :). As for eating disorders: When we took the puppy from Roberta is strictly pointed us food we need to feed the puppy. She added that nor any other food. There were no problems. I want to pamper our baby. But the recommendation of our doctor's recommendations are the same as Roberta - or anything besides food. In another case - of course there will be problems. Are you sure you feed your baby right?
Our vet took from our little blood and feces on the general analyzes. And he was very pleased at the fact that she is healthy. Just examined the ears and teeth (teeth but it is too early to change us another four months :) ..). Yes - the ears problem area poodles ... - anything could happen at any moment. And there's no guilt in this breeder!
It's still not a toy dog and a live puppy :).
2. For documents: litter is registered with the AKC. Then on each puppy comes his "paper". By the number of boys and girls all. Unfortunately, this "paper" comes from the AKC davolno long after the registration of the litter. For this reason, may not be able prīti by the time you will take the puppy (at six weeks of age, puppies). Then the breeder will send you the paper in the mail. And not that it's not terrible :).
Some breeders do give all the papers on the puppy only after you vyshlesh him documents to sterilize your puppy ... And it's just as well.
3. Once again - we have a very good, healthy puppy with documents. Robertа answers all my stupid vporos :). For example: "Is it possible to clean the teeth and the puppy you brush?" :)) And how many of her children?! Not who she refuses his help and advice. Because he understands that we have not experienced owners. And Robert - professional.
So nothing you mess up a decent person repuiatsiyu ...
My friends are looking for a puppy herself. Because they love our girl from this nursery. After our actual experience they are confident that all will be well. Despite the fact that the puppy will have to fly to them. We live in N.York. And the shipment of animals is normal. We live in the 21st century :).

I took the puppy from Roberta. I live in New York. Flew a beautiful and healthy baby girl! I'm glad that only now saw this page.
as if I had seen her before - I would not have dared to take the puppy. And it would be a mistake!
I was surprised when I read so many bad words about this breeder ...
If someone misunderstood something on the order of issuance of documents - it does not give right to do so.
I feel sorry for Robert. Which is really a conscientious breeder and a good man.
I'm glad we took her puppy!
Victoria.

The Author aka complainer has received the puppy and their money back. They were not pleased with the fact they have no AKC papers. We discussed AKC papers and they chose not to obtain them due to the extra cost. We do not want anyone using our name to breed our puppies, therefore, we limit our puppies as show puppies or pets. This puppy was originally purchased as a pet. When they were unhappy about not receiving the AKC papers, we offered to return the puppy. They received their money back and refuse to send us the puppy even though we even sent them money to fly her home.
They have the puppy and refuse to give her back or pay us for her. It is one thing after another with this author. A free puppy and she feels she has a valid complaint. We even ended up out of pocket for the airfare to delivery the puppy. A total of over $1, 730.
We the breeder have a complaint too, we want our puppy back or compensate us financially the amount refunded to you as you did not follow through with your promise to return her. We are not going to spend our days and nights on line defending our honor. We have our family of toy poodles to care for and that is far more rewarding than arguing a mute point.
WHO GOT SCAMMED HERE? Mr Robert Starr and Mrs. Mareza Mendez Starr...SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF US at Grand River Poodles. You state we have beautiful puppies. We agree! We will not be bullied by you. We will not pay for damage to your bathroom that the puppy caused or did not cause while in your care and your home in MO, we are in OH, how on earth could we possibly be responsible. We pray they do not take their obvious resentment and anger out on our helpless loving little puppy! Hopefully someday they will pull themselves together, collect their scattered complaints and realize how they have wronged another family over a PUPPY. Shame Shame on the complaining author.
Pictured is a puppy who will be placed with a loving family in NY on June 24, 2012. We raise AKC puppies in red, brown and black. Many of our puppies are AKC Champion sired and we are very proud of the puppies we offer to show homes and pet homes alike. I am the breeder she complains about, Roberta Katona.of Grand River Poodles Perry, OH
Ethical breeders do exist! I am definitely one of them! Visit our website and decide for yourselves. Visit my home. The AKC inspector visits us every year. NEVER A COMPLAINT OR CORRETION NEEDED BY THE AKC INSPECTOR. Our toy poodles are all micro-chipped for their easy identification and our studs (4) have their DNA recorded with the AKC. All the toy poodles live IN OUR HOME with us as do the puppies of course. We have no other breeds. The person complaining has received the new puppy as a playmate to the first puppy they received from us. They loved her so much they came back for another. The family received their first puppy via air...no issue's at all. Love her, never a complaint. We do prefer families visit us to obtain their puppy. It is not always possible to visit due to the distance of our callers. This family had plans to come see us to pick up the recent puppy and cancelled many times and rescheduled then cancelled again the day they were to arrive. I do not fault them, it is a long ride from MO with 4 small children in tow. The puppy was paid in full and they asked I fly her to them. She arrived safely. Of course she boarded the plane with food and water. The crate was airline approved ect. ect. The real problem is...they want papers they did not pay for. The father of the puppy is an AKC red Champion of a very nice background. We offer papers generally to show people only. The $500. additional fee is to deter anyone from requesting papers on such a puppy they do not intend to show. We have many thousands of dollars tied up in the show ring and we do not want our good name ruined by back yard breeders riding on our shirt tails. Not the case with this family, as she is a pet without papers. This family has received all but $150. retained by Pay-Pal. I do not have one red cent of their money. They still have my puppy and have not made arrangements to pay for her. I sent $600. via Money Gram to have the puppy sent home after Mr. requested I do so. I charge $375. for everything...I was paying far above the cost to ship her back including the Vet exam. They refused to send her home and they refuse to pay for her. Now...they want more, they expect me to pay for damages done to their bathroom drywall and cabinet while the puppy 12-14 weeks of age was contained there. They want a free puppy and $900. to pay for damage done to their home while the puppy was in their care...? Now they want another free puppy with open registration papers, why would I offer them that? I have tried many times to reason with this couple, I do not want to take away the puppy, but, should I not be compensated for providing such a lovely and HEALTHY puppy. Below is a picture of puppies we have available. Does this look like a terrible puppy mill life? I think not. Live, Laugh, Love and Learn!
