When I first decided to join GoAntiques I was offered help and to transfer my items to their site. This never happen. A walk through by phone was going to take place, to help me properly post items. Doing this solo was very difficult and I also found out that most of the online auction were filled and the auctions that were open were going to cost extra. They also deduct their fees from my credit card without my approval.

This is similar to the AOL way of obtaining their money. Every item is supposed to have a date when it was made, what country, and a long list of descriptive matter. It sometimes takes a half hour or more to figure all the details of a certain item.

To post the item there is another task the seems to be weeks before you can even post it to ebay. If you post it on dollar auction area you can not properly eliminate this item if it has sold. If an item has not received a bid, (although it does show it has been bidded on) It will not be displayed on auction. I found this to be very confusing. Im still trying to figure out what floor bidding is also.

It is a proven fact that if I sold 100 items on ebay I would have sold at least 90 of these items. If I sold 100 items on GoAntiques I would have sold 10 items and 3 of those 10 would be from deadbeat buyers who wouldn't pay for the items. I wouldn't really consider them deadbeats because of the added fees GoAntiques has put on their invoices. They offer no trial period for joining and have imposed a one year contract. So once you buy this, you have no rights to the difficulties it employs on you and lack of support that is needed for such an antiquated system.

On Ebay, I did much better and shipping cost were calculated automatically, which enabled me to also sell items in foriegn countries. This is not so with GoAntiques. It is all done manually and I have lost literally all my foreign customers using this site due to the extra cost and unknown shipping cost.

Ebay offers 24 hour support and GoAntiques offers none. Their Email message center is not screened and I have also received unwanted email. Also email that has cost me considerable amounts of money. I have asked to terminate my account but goAntiques has maintained that I have a year contract. I have now terminated my Paypal account and have decided to send checks to them for services that were not well rendered.

Howdy, I was a goantiques user since 2011 and was happy at first but when they were purchased by Worthpoint it all went to hell. They screwed up my website and promised time and time again it will be fixed in a couple of weeks, All iies. This went on for months and when I finally dropped them they have my website really messed up and we cannot use it. I even emailed Will Seiple the CEO of Worthpoint I thought I would get someone to call from goantiques but that did not happen. Any help would be appreciated

I was told the same thing. Merchants and private collectors beware! Don't take this leap of faith! You will regret it! I was lied to and I am the one who has to pay! Listen up! Learn from us!
