I am frustrated that Fox Car Rentals has been totally unresponsive. I am filing a complaint against this company with the Washington State Attorney General. This is in regard to complaint # CarRentals: Your request: [protected] - Fox Rental Cars - [ ref:_00D61Z8h3._5004NsE06i:ref

In late April, I rented a car at O'Hare in Chicago to go and see my daughter and grandchildren in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Having done this a number of times with other companies than Fox Car Rental, it never occurred to me that there would be the restriction of not taking a Fox car from Illinois to Michigan. There was no bold announcement about this very unusual and important restriction.

When I got to the Fox Car Rental Company at approximately 3:30 PM on May 4th, there was a long wait of nearly 45 minutes to get to the Customer Service Representative. After completing the needed paperwork and getting ready to take the car the customer service representative informed me that we could not take the car to Michigan. The representative said there would be a $2, 000 or higher fine if we did that. The representative said we'd have to rent a car from some other company and she could not give us a refund. The customer service representative said we would have to deal with the company.

When I rented a car from another company and got to Kalamazoo, I tried multiple times to contact both Fox Car Rentals and Expedia. Fox Car Rentals complaint web page was not working. Finally several days later I got through and filed my compliant and request for re-fund. Several days later I received a response from a Fernando (no last name) saying that he would investigate. He has never responded to multiple follow-up e-mails.

Fortunately, I called my Visa Credit Card Company and filed a dispute about the charges and lack of refund. The credit card company contacted me months later and said they were going allow the payment and I disputed this so I believe the matter is still not resolved.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund and an apology. This has taken an enormous amount of time and energy.
