This is a 100% scam website designed to take your money and give you nothing back. I signed up to it (thankfully just 1 month at £20) and instantly realised that it is fraudulent. I often receive messages which are fake, and all very similar sounding, some identical, but from different profiles. Often, the profiles of these women dissapear within hours. When you email some of these women, none of them write back. Although the profiles look genuine, I believe that the messages are being manipulated and controlled by the website admin. They send you dozens of fake messages each day and control hundreds of fake profiles, to make it seem like a real dating site. I believe they also stop the real females from receiving your messages, hence why you never get a reply.
If you join this website, you will not meet anyone for sex because nobody who is genuine will be able to communicate with you, as all messaging is intercepted by the website.
I strongly URGE everyone to avoid this website and DO NOT PAY for its services. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Why is it Jeanette sent me a message first then when I replied I got this, to be honest that's all I ever get off ever woman, I've paid £30 to just recieve these replies, and if your based in uk I'll come and see one of your team members..

Hi Lee,
You recently sent a message to Jeanette.
Unfortunately Jeanette has controlled which messages to receive by setting the inbox filters. Jeanette is using this and has chosen not to view your message at this time.
Inbox filtering is a way of controlling which messages arrive in your inbox and is available to all members, including you. Not having a photo is the most common cause but it can also be due to age or location filtering. We suggest that all members upload a photo to help your chances of making contact.
In the meantime it's worth remembering that the rules of attraction are often hard to predict, so do keep looking.
Once you've done this then why not check out the great hand-picked members below? We're sure they'll be excited to hear from you.

Becky, 30

Emma, 27

Melinda, 29

Louise, 37

Amy, 27
Best wishes

I don't think it's a fake site. I did meet someone from the site for casual encounter. However i had to message 150 ladies to get a genuine reply and finally meet one. There r many scammers in this site just like in many other sites. It's frustrating I know. If you have a free account u can't read messages. So there is a possibility that a website staff might impersonate a lady and send u a message hoping u would subscribe to read the message. Once u subscribe and read the message and reply to it, the lady disappears. This approach is possible as in many other dating website. So my reaction is mixed. There r genuine profiles there no doubt bit remember each genuine lady receives messages from 100s like us ( including many fakes) so if they don't reply to you it does not automatically mean they r fake . They have lot of men to choose from .

Gustabofrog: Unfortunately when we tried to contact you, your email address is false. We do not guarantee success and you should be aware that we have a team of agents who's job is to vet profiles and try and determine whether they are genuine or not. It is not a science, but an art so we don't always get it right. However, this service is not provided by free sites. All messages are sent from end users and if you believe they are fake there is a feature for reporting them on each profile page. We only send messages that have been user generated or are to notify you of new or interesting members, which is hopefully why you joined the site. But you can unsubscribe from these at any time by going to the 'My Account' section on the site, or simply clicking on the 'unsubscribe' link in the email. We make it absolutely clear that you are signing up for a repeat subscription, and will continue to bill until you ask us to stop. That is the nature of subscriptions, whether it be dating, magazines or the gym. The support team are indeed people, but we do operate a simple refund policy which is regulated by UK law. If you do not meet the criteria as laid down by those regulations, or our company policies which are more generous than the law, you will not be entitled to a refund and we will explain so. support@globalpersonals.co.uk

Please be aware of this web page is a total con.
I have got MUCH more success in free webpages.
They use your profile to send fake mails and spam to you or from other members that haven't send nothing.
I have to believe that most of the contacts are fake too...
And by the way be aware of what you signing because you NOT signing for a one off payment but a direct debit.
They will charge you again, and again.
The support team is a: "computer say no" so forget about any refunds.

Further to the response by the 'Forget Dinner' team, may I respond to the subsequent posts:

To Graxol: It is impossible to know why you got no response from over 100 messages, but in our experience it is the choice of the receiver on whether to reply or not. There are many reasons why female members do not reply, but it may simply be that you were not their type or had given them insufficient information consider you.

To the gibbet: You cannot confirm that forget dinner is a theft site, partly because it isn't and partly because that is your opinion not fact. If you call our cancellation line during the hours prescribed you will indeed speak with one of our team of agents who will duly cancel your account. We would not refuse to cancel your account so closing your bank account was completely unnecessary.

To nickilou: Some members have their messages checked at random as a security precaution which may delay them being sent, but otherwise all member to member messages go through immediately. There are factors outside of our control depending on your physical location, the speed of your connection, your internet provider and your email provider.

To eddieSexton: Of course it isn't a scam site. We do not create fake emails or winks, there are far too many genuine members for us to need to resort to this practice. The seven day cooling off period you are referring to comes from the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations of 2000 (amended in 2005) which is not just company policy but UK law. We do not have the luxury of 'interpreting' the law, we simply have to comply with it. Our business model does indeed encourage you to pay (most successful business try and get paid for their goods or services), as a paying member you will enjoy more privileges than basic members, like the ability to send and read messages from other members. We do not count the reading of confirmation messages as use of the site, we only count inter-member messages. Cancelling simply entails calling a freephone service during the weekday office hours and asking to be cancelled, but we only issue refunds when you are entitled to receive one.

I agree with the poster. THis is a TOTAL scam site and I GOT RIPPED OFF too. Signed up few days ago, so all kind of interest. So decided to part with 30GBP for 1 month to read all of these emails by interested ladies. After reading two emails and responding to one, it became clear that they were all robot messages, fake emails and winks. I decided to cancel my subscription. THey claim to have a 7 day cooling off period, but if you check messages, it is void, meaning there is no cooling off period as you have to acknowledge the confirmation message that you are a member. I called the cancellation number and spoke to a very rude and volatile female who would not even allow me to speak. She kept shouting saying I've used the service and therefore not entitled to any refund, accused me of shouting when I was just trying to explain my interpretation of the terms. She then hung up in my face. Typical scammmers. The business model is clearly centered around enticing you to pay a subscription, and if you are wise it will be only once. They make it difficult to cancel, meaning you will be locked in for a recurring scam subscription - AVOID AT ALL COSTS> You HAVE BEEN WARNED

i can confirm that forget dinner is a theft site, a vast percentage of the profiles are false, although not all are false, females do not have to pay to join forget dinner, males clients are charged, i joined forget dinner, and after one month i wanted to terminate my account so i phoned their contact number, but nobody answers the phone, so i sent them an email asking them to terminate my account, they refused so i had to close my entire bank account down and open a new account

I totally agree another rip off website aimed at parting men with their money. I sent well over 100 messages to so called members and got not one real reply from a real person. You have the nerve to reply to the guy aboves message saying "that all messages sent to you are genuine icebreaker messages sent by members or private 1 to 1 messages sent by a members" total ### you should be ashamed of yourselves!

Ice breaker messages? There is no option (for men). Further to your comment about profiles disappearing - you don't mention the fact the you can receive generic messages like ' I have just joined and looking to start chatting. Take a peek at my profile and let me know what you think ;)' or 'Hello Well this looks interesting :) Hope to hear from you, ' - firstly most of the women I have spoken to on the site say they never sent these messages, secondly on many occasions if you reply to these icebreakers - which you are claiming are sent by real people but when you respond you find that your comments are filtered. I'd also like to draw to your attention the following in the 'terms and conditions':

'By posting Content to any public area of the Site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to us an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, disclose and distribute such information and content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing for all purpose connected to operating and promoting the Site and the Service.'

'We reserve the right to automatically respond to all member to member messaging, in those cases where an individual member has not personally responded. Messages with no recipient response will receive a reply after an appropriate period of time determined by Global Personals.'

'We are entitled but not obliged to review and delete any content, messages, photos, video profiles and profiles (collectively, "Content") that in our sole judgment violate these Terms or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of other members.'

The first of these is frightening - they pretty much own everything you post, type and think (if they could), the second may well explain these dodgy messages. The fact that you say they have a 7 day moderation team doesn't surprise me - they are looking for stuff they can clearly make money from... who wouldn't with the terms that have been signed up to? Finally the last bit - they are entitled but not obliged? Oh yeah, that's a really good one... and hide behind protection of other members... It's very interesting that a very similar site - youvepulled.com does not have the same feedback, despite having identical terms and conditions and also being run by er 'Global Personals Limited'... very interesting

The good news is that I am looking into the legality of such terms in the UK. Keep you posted :). As to if this is a con - well it's a very fine line but I don't see anything illegal... Underhand and downright scandalous that you can do this ? Most certainly. Taking advantage of natural human emotion? Of course. Wish I'd thought of it ;-)

Hi There. Firstly I'd like to say I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a successful experience on Forget Dinner, but I hope we can go some way to explaining the things you mention in your post. The messages I believe you are referring to regarding the false profiles and them disappearing, these are scammers and are not controlled by the site. All sites suffer from scammers, they are people typically from outside of the UK who register and pay using a fraudulent card. They then send mass messages to members in a bid to manipulate them out of money. We have a 7 day moderation team based in Windsor who have the job of sifting through the database finding these people, and also moderate all photos, profiles, messages that are uploaded. Unfortunately scammers have got very clever in their messaging and so some messages do slip through the net but as soon as our moderation team find a scammer profile, they delete the member which is when you get the 'this member no longer exists' message. We also rely on our dedicated members to help bring suspicious members to our attention by reporting them to us. If we are unsure that someone is genuine, we will mark them as suspicious and check them every 3 hours to monitor their activity.

I can assure you that we do not send fake messages, and that all messages sent to you are genuine icebreaker messages sent by members or private 1 to 1 messages sent by a members. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions [protected]

All the best
The Forget Dinner Team
