Five Start Roofing of Spirit Lake, Iowa review: Roofing job to our home

On 8/31/2018 we had new shingles put on our roof by Five Start Roofing of Spirit Lake, Iowa. There had been a hail storm and a lot of roof jobs were being completed in our area. Per their agreement, their warranty covers workmanship for as long as we own our home.

This summer, my husband had gone out to check the status of our gutters. We really had not checked them very close since the new roof went on, as they also put on gutter covers. After my husband got up on a ladder to check them out, he noticed the shingles were down over halfway over the gutter guards. Depri was piling up in between the gutter and where the roofline was to end. We contacted the owner Kirt Kelsey and explained the situation the middle of June. After three more phone calls he finally came and looked at it and said yes it was not done right and they would be here in the near future to take care of it. 6 more phone calls between July and October, we got the same sob story that they would be coming, and then the last conversation was they might have to wait until spring to take care of it. It was always us calling him and he never returned any of our calls. I would like to get this complaint in and see if anything could be done to get our problem taken care of. We are not sure we want them to do the work, but I am guessing they are the ones that need to fix the problem.
