Five Star Tavern review: Owner writes all of his good reviews 11

Lol. I am an employee at the fivestar off of boulder and Paseo Verde...for almost 3 years. I have tended bar in this town for over 18 years. I am great at what i do...thus i have NEVER been yelled at by Jim or his "drunk" wife Stephanie . Funny thing about that is that Stephanie has never had 1 drink behind my bar..orbeen drunk once. We are a fun establishment...and one that thrives on our repeat business and loyal following. You can find negative info on any establishment if u look casually. Judge this place for yourself...don't judge by the disgruntled trolls...plz.

Tom Rogers obviously the reason you have never seen Stephanie Minchey in the bar is because as you stated you come into the bar in the afternoon. Stephanie is an alcoholic but guess she can do what ever she likes cause she is the owners wife. You can ASK any employee at ANY location and they will ALL tell you the same story. If 1-2 employees say something about their employee you can chalk it up to them not doing their jobs. but when ALL the employees at ALL locations tell you the same thing then there's is something wrong with the Management / Owner. Even Dave who was with the company a very long time doing ALL the maintenance and good friend of Jim's for many many years ended up leaving after a knock out drag out fight in the back of one of the bars one day. Actually an employee saw it on camera and was wondering what the hell was going on with all the screaming and yelling. She almost ended up calling the police till she saw Dave leave. And as for the previous posting that ALL bartenders come and go yes they do, But if an employer treats their staff with RESPECT then employees will wanna stay. So Tom Rogers before you go opening your mouth and saying stuff you don't know that is fact SHUT UP. Why don't you go to Centennial and Simmons and if any of the older employees are still there ask them what happen to the big gambler who drank Coors beer who won a lot back in January 2015 ?

Your inaccurate comments are a joke, and a grave dis-service to the over 100 team members that work at Five Star. It's the over 100 employees what interacts with the customers at Five Star Tavern that keep the customers coming back. In FACT, I hang out at several of the Five Star Tavern's and have only seen Stephanie a few times, (late in the day, as I get off work at 2pm) and I have never seen her drinking.

As for the other guy, never meet him. I can say, the place is very corporate and I have yet to see any drama or problems.

As for the reviews being fake, that is just funny to think this group can make every post. Nice try - my advice is easy! Go to Five Star Tavern, and judge for your self. Clearly this place and ALL its employees are highly respectable. There is no was this company continues to open new locations without knowing a thing or two. I've been to several of the locations, and every employee has told me the same story. The owner Jim Minchey mico manages the place, yells at his employees in front of customers, the only word he knows is " F " non of the vendors can stand him. His wife Stephanie Minchey is an alcoholic, she has been seen many times coming into the locations drunk even at 10;00 am. She drinks behind the bar, will make herself a drink and or pours a couple shots of Jager, Jim has instructed his employees to write up reviews and use different names. Actually Jim kicked out a heavy gambler at the Centennial and Simmons location because he was winning a lot and took him for almost $ 100, 000.00. The guy would spend thousands in the bar. The only positive thing about the bars is they are nicely decorated inside.

My Wife and I have been going to Five Star Tavern for over 10 years, not to date myself but all that wan back to when it was Gators Bar and Grill. I totally agree with Lorie, Five Star Tavern gets an easy A, with its elegant decor, and smooth atmosphere. There are several regulars that have been going there since the day it opened. I think even the cook had been there over 15 years before retiring.

During my time there I have also seen staff come and go. But that’s bartending. I also visit several other bars around town, and I see the girls come and go there too. That’s the bar business. I know that two of the girls listed above moved out of state with family. One got a job closer to home to save gas. (Who can blame her with the prices today) And one left to start a career in health care. Why punish Five Star when their employees leave or move on to try and better their lives.
Five Star Tavern never skipped a beat. They have over 35 employees and even though it’s sad when someone leaves, and opportunity for someone else. With this economy, I’m glad to see that they never downsized and kept as many jobs and people working as possible.

I am always treated great by every employee who there, and I proudly support every employee at Five Star Tavern, new or old, as long as the drinks are cold and the slots are loose. And trust me the machines have never stopped paying, even when staff moves on.

This will always be my main place to eat and play. It’s clearly the classiest place in the area, so don’t punish yourself and give it a shot, or two.

I HAVE BEEN TO THE TAVERN ON RANCHO MANY TIMES OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS. THE ATMOSPHERE IS COZY AND THE DESIGN OF THE INTERIOR IS A 10 EASY. CANNOT DENY FIVE STAR THAT, HOWEVER I HAVE SEEN SO MANY BARTENDERS COME AND GO. FOR THE LONGEST TIME MY HUSBAND AND I WENT IN TO GET A SHOW...TINA, ADRA, MARADITH, DIANA KEPT US LAUGHING FOR HOURS. ONE BY ONE WE WATCHED OUR FAVORITE GIRLS DISAPEAR. FINALLY WE DID TOO. GREAT BAR BUT DONT GET ATTACHED TO YOUR TENDER.

Mike Henrey's comment is a completely fake review. Last Week Marco a guy was bartending all day long.

It’s easy to see this is a fake review. I visit Five Star 3 to 4 times each for lunch and I even play the slots a little. The staff has always been great, classy and totally respectful.

I Goggled Five Star Tavern, and it clearly shows Five Star Gaming a Nevada corporation as the owner, and the managers are great.

It’s shameful to racist comments posted, if you don’t like the place vote with your feet, and go somewhere else, it’s not like this town is in shortage of Taverns.

I love Five Star Tavern, always have, and always will! So there you go!

I think the bar is piss. I was there last week in the morning for some breakfast, the morning bartender girl was PISS DRUNK, and showing her tits. Not complaining about the tits, but c'mon. Have respect for yourself and your work place. Not to mention what I hear about the owner from customers who were there made me realize i'd never be back there. Owners name is Jim Minchey, he's a gay [censored].

I wrote a great review last year. I don't own the place lol! I googled the complainers name and it’s a fake. This looks like a someone who lost money and got mad. What a baby “Becca” is, boo hoo. She also a few fake names “Rebecca Lopez Cash” and “Rebecca Cruz Cash” and “Becca” This could also be a ex-employee that was recently fired for stealing. Some people really need to grow up!

Great Place to eat and Play. Five Star Tavern is just that!

The posting by Rebecca Lopez Cash is completely fake, just like her name. "Becca" works at a competitor’s place up the street. I know I go there every now and again. She was bragging about her fake postings. She is a plain liar.

Five Star Tavern is one of the nicest bar’s in NW Las Vegas. This staff is just fantastic. The locations are great. That’s why they are so busy, and the machines play & pay great.
