I have a Premium account with Filesonic and have no problem with download speed, 40 mins for a 400MB file I think is OK however many times I cannot access files that they say are available on their servers. I always check that the link exists using their link checker and then when I try to download it I get the error "Permission Denied. Please check your firewall settings and ensure that IDM has permits to access the internet. Details: Cannot access sXXX.filesonic.com:80" this happens several times (XXX is a number. As I can download many other files without problems this is obviously not a problem with my firewall or IDM but it is with their servers. I wrote to their support and they only were able to send me the FAQ. Wrote them again and did not get any reply... I wrote them a third time and now I am waiting a reply. If they do not write me I will ask a refund. My suggestion: DO NOT BUY FILESONIC PREMIUM ACCOUNT!

I paid for a premium membership in order to download books almost all downloads are filesonic files it will not allow me to open files contacted filesonic 4 times they said it was my problem after 4th contact I asked for my money back since I was not getting any service or product they replied no they do not do refunds in my book this is theft I have downloaded all extensions they said to download and have followed all their instructions I am able to download other files but most of the books I want are on their files.
They advertise fast download speeds if you sign up for a premium membership. I signed up for a one year membership for $55 but found the download speeds were not as advertised. Their advertising leads you to believe that you can download a 300 to 400 MB video file in less than 5 minutes with a premium membership. In most cases the download times turned out to be 3 to 4 hours for a 300 to 400 MB video file! I complained to Filesonic. First they told me to download and install Chrome as my web browser. (I was using IE9). Downloading Chrome did not make a difference. Then they told me to download and install a download accelerator. That made no difference. Then they told me to download and install Firefox. At that I told them I was going to request a refund. I have used numerous other file sharing sites such as Rapid Share and Fileserver and using those file sharing services as a free user I got download times of about 20 to 25 minutes on a 300 to 400 MB file. I was able to get a full refund of my $55. Would not recommend anyone pay money for Filesonic’s premium service.
Purchased this service and I have had nothing but problems including a password that didn't work for 2 weeks and wasn't replaced with a working one.Avoid at all costs use another similar service, spead the word.
I have Time Warner Cable (Road Runner) and a computer that is only one year old. As I mentioned in my complaint, I have used varaious other file sharing services and got faster download times from them using a free account so the problem is not because my Internet connection is too slow or because of an outdated computer system.
I too have filesonic and my internet connection is too slow. I just go to the local college community library which has very fast internet network. Using filesonic premium and the local library, I am getting download speeds of 2 to 5 MB a second depending on network usage. The problem is that your internet connection is slow and/or that you don't have a newer computer system.
