I would like to bring this information to your attention, I was an employee for an extended stay of America Woodfield location (11-2022-08-2024)
I was hired by Rintu Phillip, working night audit from 11pm to 7am, about a week into me working there I was living in another hotel and didn’t have money for rent so I asked rintu if I can stay at location where I worked and pay rent. So, he kept my room out of order, and I would pay him 700 dollars every 2 weeks when I got paid. I would cash app him rent money. He told me he wasn’t supposed to have employees stay at the location. So, keep it between us. Now from the time I was employed he had 5 workers including me rent out rooms, how they paid for their rent, I don’t know. Rintu knew and Karina Gomez, his assistant knew too.
Another issue was we were short on workers, and I was working 6 days a week and rintu mention that extended stay is very strict on overtime so I would clock in on adp my normal 40 hours and any overtime I would clock in on rintu’s payroll, so I was not getting paid time and half and was getting taxes taking out of both paychecks. I brought this to rintu attention, and he said that its all adds up the same amount. I left it because I was living there and working there, I didn’t want to jeopardize my place and employment. I also brought this up to My assistant manager Karina Gomez. At this time, I was getting paid 16 dollars an hour.
I do say that when rintu was General Manager it was better than when Karina Gomez took over as General Manager and I was Promoted to Assistant manager. Making 18 dollars an hour. Now the number 1 issue is I had to do classes for the position. But I was never trained. Karina never trained me, and she knew that I would not been able to do my job right. So, everything that the assistant manager does, I did not, she did the job. Now I have been counting inventory since I was night auditor and when Karina would ask me to count inventory so she could put it in for supply order.
Now once I had the title Assistant manager when things went wrong like being overbooked and customer complaints were put on me and what I wasn’t doing or didn’t do right, I was not trained at all.
Side note I was an excellent worker even though we had problems with short staff, I was the first one they called to fill in and we was short on linen, towels, cleaning supplies because even though our night person jasmine would leave a supply list right by Karina desk she would ether order stuff we didn’t need and not order what we did need. I can’t tell you how many times we ran out of toilet paper. That is so embarrassing when a customer asked for toilet paper, and we ran out even though I’ll tell Karina we on our last box of toilet paper. You need to order. She would say already done. But that problem was consistent. Another problem is that 3 rooms had Maggots and roaches, and a couple rooms had 20 flies and Karina gave them air fresher thinking it was bug spray, and the husband sprayed it the wife couldn’t breathe and had to go to hospital. There was a mice problem. Rooms are so outdated it was like why u would make people pay for these broken, smelly rooms that we could not get the smell out. And furniture never gets replaced. Everyone who is hired was never trained right unless I was told to train them.
So, another issue is overtime again since Karina was the gm she said that we were going to get paid overtime the right way. That worked until I started paying attention since E.S. A. is stricken on overtime I started noticing that all my overtime I was putting in was being changed before it was getting to Ryan Ratcliff. So normally when I would clock out it would be either 15 min to 30 min over my scheduled time to clock out, I started noticing my time was being changed on the (3;00 or 3;03 instead 3;15 to 3;30) that adds up when its time and half.
Now my last issue was a bonus I was promised since my pay was low, they said we would get a bonus every 3 months. I never received 1 bonus; I should have got 2 bonuses. I was told the bonus was 1000,00 every 3 months and once paperwork was processed it takes about a month in half. Now Karina and I had a conversation about me not getting the first bonus and it was because of productivity reports and Karina said that’s why she knows how to mess with computer numbers, so it goes in her pocket. When she said that, that made me start checking my paychecks and the times.
Wanted to bring to your attention that I was told by a customer that when they were leaving hotel that she seen rintu Phillip and Karina Gomez kissing outside were there wasn’t cameras. I always felt that because my intuition told me about the energy vibe, I would get with them when we were in the office together.
