This website has a .co.uk domain and a banner stating "free UK delivery" not to mention a .co.uk email address. However it turns out that it's address is a Louisiana PO Box. The amount shown on their invoice has no resemblance to the larger amount they actually charge to your card and their stated delivery time of 5 to 7 working days is complete rubbish. On enquiring I was told to expect up to 6 weeks! Do NOT under any circumstances buy from this company, nothing is as it seems.
We have been asked yesterday to pay a Spanish Customs bill of 65, 57€. This would bring the price up to 164, 59€. This is absurd as we could purchase the same lenses for less than 120€. As you can see the same scam is being carried out in Spain. There must be a way that the European Commision could take legal action against this Company and prevent them from trading.
EuroLens cannot be trusted.
I ordered contact lenses from euroLens.ie which appeared to be an Irish website. After waiting 3 weeks for delivery I sent I sent an e-mail to alert them that the lenses had not arrived.
Their reply was:
"I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you have incurred with your order. Lens.com is an United States based business that specializes in providing contact lenses internationally. Standard shipping internationally is 7-15 business days. However, due to possible customs delays we must allow the full six weeks before we are able to refund or reship."
I replied as follows:
"I am horrified that I must wait up to 6 weeks for delivery.
I don’t understand, I ordered the lenses from euroLens.ie, which is an Irish website and therefore delivery to Ireland is not an International delivery. The fact that you have shipped these from America and could incur customs charges and delays due to international shipping is not my responsibility. "
After 6 weeks the lenses arrived, together with a Customs Charge for €24.61!
Furthermore, my invoice from the Company was for €87.29 My credit card was charged €91.12
I have since written to the company requesting refund which they refused to do.
Totally agree with that information that Bakoore gives, have the same problem, and will chargeback the transaction in my bank.
I'm not waiting 6 weeks for something that should come from UK and by Fedex mail services, that turns out its with USPS.
with BIG risk of getting also import tax of the buy...NO WAY !
Eurolens.com is not a EU company anymore, is my bet !, used them once before in 2009, and there I got them from UK in 7 days delivery time.
