I went here because it was local. I went here once a month for a colour correction and cuts from May - October 2011.
I was given junior colourists and cutters. I wanted my medium dark brown hair to become a medium golden brown and my hair only trimmed so as to stay the length of my back bra strap and face framing layers from the jaw down. What I got was bleached highlights which made my hair impossible to comb thu wet and inches cut off by a hair dresser who didn't like long hair. I complained and got a free colour and cut from senior stylists and colourists. Still I got "glowing" roots, a big blonde patch on one side of the back of my head and highlights which washed out each month to a straw yellow blonde making my re-growth look terribly dark - for $200! After six months I still didn't have a solid medium golden brown. No amount of special latte's can make up for hugely over priced services by technicians who are NOT highly skilled professionals as they advertise. This is the worst hair colour results I have ever had after 25 of dying my hair. People who go here have more money than sense. Go to another area where the services are priced on time not gender and there are no juniors, where the least amount of experience any hairdresser has is 10+ years. I prefer Jaz on Church Street.

I totally agree, however it was not that simple. They told me I needed to get highlights monthly in order to get it medium golden brown from my dark brown. Now I am going to Jaz on Church St and only need a solid medium golden brown colour. I didn't like paying Epoca their high prices but they did corrections for free, still I don't think I would have needed them had the colour technician been more experienced for a senior.

Yes. I was using their Aveda products which were expensive and ineffective. I am now using Paul Mitchell with great results. They wanted to do highlights monthly to lighten my hair. Thankfully I only have a solid colour which is the look I always wanted.

If it was so bad, why did you go back after the first time? I would immediately find another hairdresser to fix the problem and I'd never go back. Not sure I would have even paid them if I didn't get what I wanted.
