ENGLISH BULLDOGS FROM CASTLE ROCK STILL LISTED WITH NO INFORMATION: I am pleased to see that I am making some (very little) but some difference with the on going complaint with Castle Rock Bulldogs, Tallmadge, Ohio. Now they are stating that the puppies are standard bulldogs. BUT! That's all you get folks, They are also stating in the few cases who the parents are, but only if they know because they bred them. The puppies that DO NOT belong or have NOT been bred by them, well they don't list that information for them or tell you anything about them, BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THAT INFORMATION!!! All they know is HOW MUCH $$$ they need to get. If they did not breed them, you DO NOT want to buy them. The AKC papers are not legit, they are brokers for other god knows who breeders and you are allowing them to continue the same as if you were purchasing from a puppy mill. Remember, if Castle Rock Bulldogs is not listed as the breeder on the AKC papers, then that dog does not belong to them and they are brokering for some unknow breeder. Is this really the dog you want to purchase. Please be aware of what and from whom you are purchasing the precious puppy that you will be responsible for. Read that contract, it DOES NOT protect you or your puppy, it protects them from being responsible after you give them your money. They replace your puppy ONLY if it dies or you can prove it was born with a LIFE THREATING condition. All other conditions are EXCLUDED! You will have to do all the research and pay all the vet bill, x-rays and autopsies, AND YOU get the heartache too. "BUYER BEWARE."

Just a reminder to anyone buying an English Bulldog from Castle Rock Bulldogs, Tallmadge, Ohio or any other breeder/kennel. The pictures on Castle Rock Bulldogs of their so called puppies have been on there for a long time, these puppies must be 6 months old by now. Please ask all the right questions before you give these people any money. How old is the puppy now, not when the picture was taken. Who and where was the puppy bred? Is Castle Rock the breeder or some other guy you will never get to talk to? You don’t want this puppy if you can’t see and or speak to the breeder and see what kind of conditions your puppy was raised in. Who is listed as the breeder on the AKC papers? If not Castle Rock, you don’t want to buy this puppy because they didn’t raise it, don’t own it and are brokering for someone that should NOT be breeding dogs.Don’t expect a written health check from a vet, they don’t do one because they give the puppies the shots themselves, why bother with a vet? Don’t bother to ask about the health guarantee it dosen’t cover anything unless your puppy dies or you can prove it had a congenital life condition and trust me they won’t tell you if it did. You will have to fall in love with this puppy and raise it and then one day it will become very sick and they will tell you to bring it or the body back with all of the proof that you will have to pay for and they WILL JUST REPLACE IT! JUST REPLACE IT, IT’S THAT EASY, to them. Will they replace your heart too? Forget about the money you paid them and spent on vets they will NEVER replace that.

Please heed this advise. I have gone throught this with these people and am out $3000.00 and I have no puppy because I refused to be forced to take a REPLACEMENT from a breeder I no longer trusted. They should be in jail, and not be allowed to continue to bilke people. But the law allows “Puppy Mills” in Ohio. Only by being a conscientious consumer can you help ‘STOP’ unscrupulos breeders.

More people are coming forward with their complaints as well. You can read them by searching Castle Rock Bulldogs on as they have been posted as coments to my post, or /link removed/ search Castle Rock Bulldogs.

I am so sorry to hear of your terrible experience with your precious puppy. I think I am the only one who has taken them to court and won. I laugh because (LOL) I won the case and lost the money. They have so many liens against them I would have to take a number. The only way I can fight them is by continuing to post to these sites to make new buyers aware. You can help by posting repeatedly like I do. Please post your complaint, you can copy and paste, to all the other sites. Since I have done this Melissa has also flooded the internet with her goody goody bulldog 'BULL' in order to hopefully counter act what I keep putting on. The more people like you and me and another person who is on www.[redacted] have to keep posting and I'm sure others who have been ripped off by them will come forward too. We each think we were the only ones, but I now know I'm not. Enjoy your baby for as long as you have him and know you did the very best you could.

So good to see that Castle Rock's irresponsible bulldog breeding practices are being exposed. I too purchased a very lovable puppy in Jan. 2009. Unfortunately he has multiple congenital problems that Melissa didn't want to hear about. Quincy had an abdominal testicle and severe tracheal stenosis requiring nearly surgeries costing $8000 last year. Even sadder was a diagnosis of megaesophagus which is usually fatal within a few years. We have spent several weeks in an ICU trying to treat aspiration pneumonias, and save his life. When I spoke to Melissa after I learned of these health problems, she suggested a testicular prosthesis so that breeding and showing would be possible. Most troubling was her refusal to consider that breeding the same ### and sire was at best shady and dangerous for future puppies. Please avoid purchasing your puppy from people like this.
