Empire Beauty School in Portage Michigan review: The way they treat their students

Tara the AD there at the school on constitution blvd in Portage, MI. she bullies the students and sends them home for no reason at times. my daughter was upset got herself together, they then came up to her told her they clocked her out and to go home. she was very confused about why they chose this on her behalf.

Tara has done this many times to where she sends students home, there fore they lose hours and have to be there longer. In the best interest of the school they will get more money in the long run because the student has to file for aide or loans to be able to finish. Got to be honest not a bad idea but it is VERY wrong to make more money because you send a student home and are having them have to be enrolled longer in the school which means money. There was a recent graduate that this was done to to make her be there and enrolled longer, a lot longer then the said student had thought she would be there for. this is sad that the school does this to their students when they need to be teaching and helping them become adults that can survive in a vastly growing industry. instead they are tearing them down and targeting them.

A cpl weeks ago they had every instructor walk out! they told not one student nothing they just all walked out and left. The AD told the students to all go home and that there would be no school the next day either because of the teachers walking out. The next week Corporate was in the school just about every day questioning the students!

I truly hope this goes somewhere with me taking the time to type this complaint and how this person and school can treat their students who pay a lot of money to go here. this is how people either dont finish and drop out or how they graduate and then dont even go into the cosmetology field at all and wasted time and money.

there are many pictures and texts between teachers and students that these kids have as well as my own kid.
