Edjoiners is a Scam. Brent & Co is also a part of edjoiners. They offer the best job opportunity as a customer service executive but they do not recruit unless you buy a very "SPECIFIC CERTIFICATE FROM ORLANDO UNIVERSITY" for $499 irrespective of your work experience. I applied initially because I did not find any compaints sometime in Oct 2012. I, at first liked the idea of what they were selling which was exactly what they were waiting for. But after the call, it just didn't click right since i have 8 yrs work experience. So i mailed them I am not interested but kept calling me twice. Second was Brent & co, I was just in the process of applying the job & yet to complete the final submission & I received call from them saying waiting for my resume. Lucky they informed they are part of edjoiners in their introduction. So job hunters... Who needs a certificate from a university which has no specific physical presence in the form of an address in ORLANDO, florida? BEWARE!

Hello everyone,

I almost got conned too! This guy named Mitchell Clark from so called GCCRecruiters kept calling me stating that there's a vacancy of an HR Manager in Abu Dhabi, and that in order to actually being selected; the "client" suggested to them that the candidate could go for a credit based qualification...meaning, my 7 years HR experience could get converted into studying credits and as a result I could obtain a Bachelors degree with ought really attending any classes! I began to be impressed by myself loll did that employer like me that much that they suggested to the GCCRecruiters that I could go for a forged degree! Anyways guys, please be careful, these fake agencies use genuine and well known employers' profiles because they're aware most of the job seekers (victims) would actually google the company profile "like I did" so...careful people and don't get amazed by the offer letters and benefits mentioned in there...tc

It seems that they still use the same scam under a different company name.
This morning, a lady under the name of "Sheryl Sandberg" called me on my cell phone (from this number +[protected]), claiming to be a recruitment manager for a recruitment company called "GCC Recruiters" located in California. Despite her semi-British accent which sounded a little fake, she actually was very professional & went through so much detail about me, their company & the "supposed" company offering the job. It seemed that she actually had access to my resume & contact info, which gave me initially a little assurance that it was legit, but I was still skeptical and very careful throughout the call.
The offer was for an HR & Admin Manager position in a "leading global Airline conglomerate" with a great salary & benefits you couldn't resist! She conducted an initial interview with me on the phone that lasted around 50 minutes, & she was very encouraging & highly impressed by my experience & attitude. She later explained to me their screening procedure & gave me a list of required documents that include my masters certificate - which she emphasized on as a must - & that's when I had to stop her & explain that I don't hold a masters degree. She then promised to help me the best way she could & try to find a way to get around this obstacle after talking to her supervisor on lunch (she changed it to "morning coffee" for urgency!). She later emailed me the offer which I found in my junk mail folder (her email is s.sandberg@gccrecruiters.org ) & called me within 2 hours to follow up (from this number +[protected]) & asked me to stay alert for her supervisors' call. After that, I was SHOWERED with continuous calls from both numbers in an unbelievably annoying way! 12 calls within an hour - 8 of them within 5 minutes! I received one last call from a third number ( +[protected] ) that I also ignored before a "Verna N. Kell" sent me an email (from the same sandberg email) requesting me to contact them urgently in order to finalize my application.
Long story short, my google search helped me identify their 9-day-old website, their scamming method & the phone numbers they use. So far, I've ignored their calls, but I might answer later for humor.
I only wonder where & how they got my resume, as I only shared that particular email they contacted me on with bayt.com (which is a well known reputable recruitment company in the GCC area), a friend of mine whom I trust & the people I currently work for. I plan to contact bayt.com to share my story & know more about their privacy policy, as it will be a disaster if they offer information to anyone who claims to be a recruiter!

Hi friends, today I too received the same call from these persons. First I received a call yesterday from +[protected] claiming calling from Brentt & co wanted to interview... said, our conversations are recording, enquired about qualification, experience etc... later sent me one email to confirm willingness to take up the job... once I sent the confirmation, today I received a call from +[protected] claiming he is the Head of recruitment and talking the same story of higher education... I informed him that, if you are recruiting based on my experience then why should I join for a course! and refused to entertain and cut the line... yesterday, I have gone through these information, which has alerted me a lot... thanks friends for sharing... Let others be careful from these frauders...

guys, i also received the same strategy from Neon Advertisers by the name of Lewis Carl, just last night. That's why they are very persistent to get your attention. The first time we talked on the phone, i already felt that something is missing, thats why i no longer responded to his emails. After two weeks, he called me up again, and asking me to send him documents like experience letter, education credentials, appreciation letter and references, because im 90% qualified for the position and that he could already progress my application. It was then i decided to do my homeworks to investigate on this organization, and started searching on the web, then i came across these series of complaints. Good thing i havent committed anything on this guy yet. The funny part here was, when i asked Lewis where he is calling from, he said he's in San Francisco USA, which i believe because of the country code +1 thats displaying on my mobile screen. But i do remember that during our early conversation, he used a Dubai mobile number in calling me. Oh well.. To whom can we possibly report this fraudulent act, so somebody can deal with this organization accordingly. Its so unfair for this kind of people, for somebody like us who is just simply looking for a job and is dreaming to have a brighter future for our family.

Dear All
I don't know how much you people are truest me or no but it is truth. I thought take a risk and I paid 500 $ and they arrange my interview. After 24 hours I give me call say you passed the interview and you earned the Master Degree. with me all go smoothly and I got my Master Degree with legalization & Apostle to. I just spend USD 2000/- only. I don't think its fake. if its fake then they will not give me a so many call and I got my Degree by DHL and its clearly mention they picked up from USA. Guys its up to you how you take challenge or risk.

Hi..
I also got the same mail from Neon Adervtiser and referring me to Mcmillan University, the bad part is that I already paid 500$ before investigating them. Now they are asking me that you have the interview with our professor tomorrow. I don't know why no one had complaint about these types of Internet crimes on IC3 which is affiliated with FBI to stop all these types of fake website.

A friend of mine got. The guy offered him exactly same things that everybody has described here. He had paid them USD499 for first set of un-attested degree which he got through courier services within two weeks. He has also paid USD3, 500 for attestations from ministry of foreign affairs and US state dept. For this attested set he was told that it may take 30 to 45 days. I have seen his Masters degree issued by McMillan University. He is waiting for 6 weeks to see if he will be getting the attested documents or no. He was even asked if he wishes to back date his degree.

To me it seems to be a SCAM as well but question is how he got the degree and other documents on McMillan letter head. May be that all is also fake. But if he will get his documents attested then I will post and notify all as we have to keep everyone posted so that we can protect everybody from such scams.

Hi All, and thank you very much for this website. I received Jason's call just a couple of hours ago. It started sounding like a real interview, I believed it on the first 15 minutes but whenhe told me the high salary "FEDEX" was willing to pay I started to have my doubts. Then the story of the certificate started, he even offered me a scholarship and all I had to pay were the 500usd for the delivery of the certificate which I would receive in 2 weeks. If you check the website, even though it appears "real" at the begining, it is easy to realize it is not. Another company under the name of Neon Advertisers seems to be part of the same scam. Thanks again for the ones who took the time to inform other and I really hope nobody falls into this or something alike ever! We should always check.

Hi, Today I also received the phone call from a person called Steve Garcia of Brentt. He informed the following matters "I have gone through a number of Resumes and found out yours attractive toshortlist. But there is a little problem which I am facing on yourqualification. Our clients’ minimum requirement at this point in time is PhD. So, I suggestedyou to go for a particular program called PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) in which you would beassessed on your knowledge which you have gained through work and pastqualification. As, I have mentioned in our conversation that we would try tocover you as much we can under the Scholarship.
This program is for working adults like you who are currently employed and donot have enough time to study but require additional qualification to enhancetheir career.
Under this program which is generally known as P.L.A (Prior LearningAssessment) all around the world United States universities assess theapplicants work experience award themdegree based on their previous education and the skills what they have learnedat their job. They simply assess the work experience with their coursecurricular and assess if the said candidate has gained all the knowledgethat they would teach at their university for the course applied for.
If they do qualify than said candidate will be awarded with the appropriatedegree they qualify for, which in your case if successful would be PhDin Information Technology. As I explained we would try to cover youunder the scholarship program so you would not be paying any tuition fee or themodules that you would be assessed on as is the policy of other universities. However, you need to bare enrollment fee of$500 from your end to get enrolled under this program. And God forbid if you donot qualify than it’s the policy that the amount what you have paid would berefunded back to you by concerned university.
I am providing you some links of PLAProgram for your better understanding.

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/1/prweb10311789.htm
Once you getqualified than it would be easier for us to shortlist you for the interviewprocess.
Kindly send me scan copies of yourEducational documents and Experience letters what I have mentioned in ourconversation"
IF YOU NOTICE YOU WILL SEE LOTS OF SPELLING MISTAKES IN THEIR ENGLISH. IT IS PAKISTAN ENGLISH...DEAR FRIENDS..BE CAREFUL...IT IS SCAM...BRENTT is SCAM. IF some body wants to give job they don't ask money from you instead they will take money from employer if the recruitment agency is genuine... please remember that...

Hi I got the same from
JasonO Neil
RecruitmentOfficer,
Brentt& Co

Finally he requested a masters degree and sent me this:

Dear...,

Itwas nice talking with you over the phone.
P.L.A(Prior Learning Assessment)program was referred to you because you fall shorton the credentials that are needed for specified job openings, which werediscussed over the phone.
Forreferences and research you can use these links for Prior Learning Program:
http://193.146.160.29/gtb/sod/usu/$UBUG/repositorio/10301893_Romaniuk.pdf

http://www.utoledo.edu/call/PLA.html
http://www.marylhurst.edu/academics/prior-learning-assessment/

Wehave affiliations with some of the top ranking United States based universitieswho are offering PLA program. Basically, in these programs they convert theworking experience of an individual into credit hours of the university andthey might award you the degree if you qualify for the process.
Whatthey do is,
1.)They take an online test with the candidate. The test is actually based on theworking experience of the individual.
2.)They take all the scanned copies of the documents, previous employers contactinformation and all the credentials.
3.)They run a background check on all the credentials of the applicant and verifythem.
4.)They check if your experience makes enough credit hours of university

Afterthat, if you qualify, they will award you your masters degree within two weeks.

Youwill be able to get 100%scholarship with the help of our recommendation. But for admission, administration andshipment charges of your degree, graduation package, assessment and the whole process they willcharge you around 1000$.
These 1000$ are refundablein case, God forbids:
1.)You don't qualify for the process or
2.)You provide wrongor misleading information or credentials to the University.
Inthis case all your money will be refunded back to you.

I have to finalize candidates for this job by 9th of April. Kindly after research on this informal method of education, pleasereply me back today.

I received a call with same story with some small changes in the details ... it is McMillan University now and the fees are 999$ ... since when the universities are using marketing methods in pricing making it 499 instead of 500 or 999 instead of 1000 ! that's ridiculous !

Yes, I also got call from Edjoiners 3 days ago saying "you have immense experience and we have vacancies for you at CEVA logistics, ...etc" I told them "after having worked for 16 years in 3 MNCs I want to only work in MNC " Then this edjoiner guy Alex Mathews said "Ok I will talk to my Sr. Manager and will revert to you" Next day he called saying "I have spoken to my boss and he has advised that these big MNCs need educational degree in Supply Chain etc which you dont have. The proper degree would cost you 10K $ which I know you wont be able to afford. So we have a solution for you. PLA launched by Obama in 2008 is a way to convert your experience into credit hours and then get a degree from renowned university" He asked me to pay 499$ and I would get call within 24 hrs from Orlando University followed by telephonic interview. If after interview I qualify for the degree, they would send me soft copy of degree for me to check if my details on the degree are correct. Then it would take then 10-15 days to send me the hard copy of degree. It all sounded so real except the accent of that Alex. In between he sounded like Pakistani. Thanks to all of you and this forum where I thought pf checking before deciding to pay. For me, as I was delaying to prepay before interview, they arranged my interview. Just now my 30 min interview is over. I m suposed to know my result in 24 hrs . then I should send them $499. OOFFF What kinda scams are coming up these days!

HEy guys, I don't know how they got my Resume, but the first person called me was from Scott Rockville (CareeRite) which exactly looks like Edjoiners, asking me to pay $150 to get my resume written in professional as one of the company in US want to hire me. But why a company need my resume to be written only through "TheResumists". That guy (Kevin Morris) got really a heavy accent, though I am from INDIA, I know he was faking it and he as asking me to pay$150 (Originally $450) but they offered me discount WTF! I don't need discounts and I've got 7 years of experience in ITES Industry. No matter if I don't have Graduation, still I am capable enough of getting a better job in INDIA. BTW...BPO/ ITES PLEASE AVOID ASKING FOR GRADUATION CERTIFICATES.IF SOMEONE IS GOOD ENOUGH AND HAS GOT 7 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN ITES/BPO, WHY DO YOU GUYS NEED GRADUATION CERTIFICATE, ANY WAYS WE ARE NOT IMPLEMENTING OUR GRADUATION STUDIES IN OUR PROCESS...THANKS
