My husband was taken into Medi-care Rustenburg ER on the morning of 1 January 2017 round bout 6ish, he was very hypertensive and fell through our bedroom window he must have fainted. We got to the ER a blond lady phoned Dr Mokgosi after the ER dr saw my husband and asked him to come see Hennie, he said he was in the hospital and would come down after his rounds. 2 Hours later still no dr. She phoned him and he said that they should admit Hennie in ICU he had forgotten to come to ER but will come back. That never happened. They phoned him the whole day and his phone was off. the next morning round bout 12ish they eventually got hold of him and he said that he was doing rounds at Peglerea and is coming to Medi after. Eventually at 17:30 on 2 Jan 2017 he got there. I asked if he was Dr mokgosi and he said yes to which I replied thank goodness eventually. And he flipped out on me. Screaming at me in ER so I said please just release my husband so that we can take him to a dr that actually would look at him. He started screaming at me again saying that my husband is not in prision and he could leave anytime he wishes so. I asked him again to please just sign the release form and then I said that I had reported him to Hospital Management and to the HPCSA. I went to the car to get Hennie's shoes only to find that Dr mokgosi had left the hospital without seeing any of his patients, and without signing the release forms. Hennie then checked himself out. He did write a motivation on the release form. I am sorry no person that is admitted to ICU should wait 36 Hours before a dr sees him.

The staff in ER and ICU are wonderful they took very good care of him and are very helpful and caring and apparently the food are better than mine But you seriously need to do something about that dr. nobody none of the patients families in ICU are happy with him I mean there is a man on a ventilator with serious Malaria and his dr only sees him every 36 -48 hours and his poor wife does not get any answer from the dr.
