After receiving a surgery from Dr. Jules A. Feledy based off of what he termed "charity" I have received numerous bills from him. Aside from the fact that he told me I would not receive any bills for follow-up visits, I have contacted his lawyer many times to discuss this issue and received no response. In addition to these billing issues he has refused me the pictures from my surgery, deeming them a "bargaining chip" so he may receive future payment. I find it sad that a surgeon so reputable and so talented would act so cunningly greedy. I also find it disturbing that he has treated me with such disrespect right from the beginning and yet still possess such a wonderful reputation on the web and in print.
I have dealt with many wonderful doctors who kept their word and still managed to act respectable in the face of any dilemma. It is a shame Dr. Feledy could not have possessed the grace and patience that was needed throughout such a hard time in my life. Maybe Dr. Feledy is a kind person, but when it comes to money, I now know that some people will show a very harsh side all in the name of green paper.
I am sure that Dr. Feledy is a "wonderful person" when he is being paid in full. For my case he agreed to take on my surgery as "charity" but had billed me later down the line for what my insurance would not pay out.
I'm not going to go into the details but I can say that my comments are not a work of fiction, I wish they were because this whole situation has been very damaging and it won't be forgotten. My whole family and a few friends who attended appointments were witness to Dr. Feledy's malicious behavior and my only hope is that no one else has to endure this treatment in the future. I'm very glad that your experience was positive, but mine was the complete opposite and in my heart it was important to let people know.
Always remember that when it comes to money, people behave in unforgivable ways.
I would not take "something for nothing" as you say because as we all know, nothing in life is free. Dr. Feledy received payment from an insurance that he personally billed but this was not to his liking. You cannot quote me on calling this surgery charity, because if you look back at my comment...those were his words. Not mine. As for his work, he can have all of the credit he deserves because he is a talented man. But at the end of the day only he knows how he has behaved in this situation, and that is not my conscience to live with.
Your sense of entitlement is astounding. Were I to follow your model of behavior, I'd go to Neiman Marcus, pick out an armload of designer clothes, and then tell the salesgirl I couldn't afford them. After she told me that Neiman Marcus would give them to me as "charity, " I'd then ask her to validate my parking. When she wouldn't, I'd drag in friends and family to intimidate her. When she stood her ground, I'd go home and launch an online viral tirade about how Neiman Marcus does terrible things in the name of "little green paper." All while sitting there, enjoying the designer clothes they'd given me.
Runnr123443 is a scam. These events did not occur. "Reviews" and "information" posted on the web are placed on sites like this, and then practices are asked to pay money to remove them.
Yes, Runnr123443, it seems that you are behaving in an "unforgivable way when it comes to money". Why should you receive "charity" from anyone. Why should he have to forgo payment for you. Did you not take up his time? Made him operate on you when he could have been resting or spending time with his family? I noticed that you did not say that you are unhappy with his work...only his bill. Shame on you for expecting something for nothing.
Dr. Feledy is an excellent surgeon. He is talented, professional and naturally gentle. It's wise to consider any cosmetic procedure as a luxury procedure. Then the expectations in terms of fee/money would be reasonable. Luxury is expensive.
Even the cost of a non-cosmetic procedure, varies respectively to the background and education of the physician.
It took a while for me to find a talented surgeon for my cosmetic needs. I found Dr. Feledy the best in Maryland and Virgina. I have had abdominoplasty and liposuction with him. I am so pleased with the result. My experience with him and his staff was positive from the beginning. I will continue to do my other cosmetic/non-cosmetic works with Dr. Feledy as well.
I had surgery with Dr. Feledy and honestly I have to say that he has the upmost respect for his clients, very personable and very reasonable in his surgery fees. I cannot imagine him acting the way that he is portrayed in this comment. I would most certainly tell everyone I know to use him for any surgical procedures that they may need. He is a wonderful person.
