My husband and I have gone to Dixie Diner quite a few times, as it is very close to our new home (been here now 5 months). There is one employee, a greeter, who is normally very friendly and the others seem to be okay as well. However, we happened to be served by the same waitress everytime we went, regardless of where we sat. She never smiled, welcomed us or was friendly. A few times I would give up trying to find her and get extra napkins myself where they were sitting on the bar. The last straw was the last time we ate there (we will never go back again). We needed something (don't remember what) and she happened to walk by, saying nothing. After just having taken a bite of my food, I grabbed her attention (because I knew I wouldn't see her again for awhile) and asked her for whatever it was we needed. I covered my mouth and tried chewing quickly to get the words out, but too late - she couldn't understand me. I repeated myself and she left. When she returned with the item, she "firmly" placed our bill on the table, turned to me and told me that "it's rude to talk with food in your mouth, " and walked away. I was humiliated and angry at the same time and couldn't believe she said that to me. It made my husband angry as well. I told him, as she walked away that if we didn't have so much trouble trying to be waited on, I wouldn't have done that. She disappeared after that, never asking us if we wanted or needed anything else. I have never been so humiliated, embarrased or angry at any other restaurant, even fast food joints, as I was that day. If you go to Dixie Diner on Princess Anne Rd. in Va. Beach, VA and get this waitress, I wish you well. We will NEVER, EVER return to this establishment and will definately let our family and friends to do the same. Such a shame.

Dixie Diner .com... I have been shopping at this site for awhile. I have just found another site that purchasers products from dixie diner (who is a manufacturer of low carb, low fat, etc. foods) I wrote them about their product prices and shipping charges. They wrote me back that because of their manufacturing costs and shipping charges they must charge those prices. When I went online to a different site that "purchasers" from dixie diner for resale I found that not only is the new company about 20% cheaper on the same products s dixie, but their shipping charges are also 50% less than Dixie. When I wrote back to Dixie about why they charge more for their own products than the suppliers that use them, all they could say was have a nice day. Do not pay more at Dixie when you can buy for less somewhere else.

Dixie Diner is should not be allowed to maintain business. All secondary sites which sell their products sell for reasonable prices. Looking at their nutrition facts, their products (while sometimes low in sodium) aren't even noticeably healthier, in terms of calories or natural ingredients, than most regular, reasonably priced equivalents of their competitors. That's definitely not their worst quality; In addition to their blatant interest solely in taking customer's money (e.g. They charged me for a product, in my last order, which they did not send me and have made no effort in even pretending to solve the problem), they are incredibly rude. Like, they're just rude. They go out of their way to show how little they care, with sweetheart quotes like "We really don't know what you expect us to do". Yeah, they really go to work to show appreciation for their customers (obvious sarcasm here). DO NOT PROVIDE THOSE MONEY-HUNGRY, SELF-CENTRED PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. They're receiving your payment and laughing at you. They did it to me, and they won't do it again. If you really like their products and don't mind buying, knowing that you are giving these people a certain percentage of your money, I suggest going with someone like Netrition.com, Linda's Diet, or (if you're in Canada, like I am, ) Thelowcarbgrocery.com.
