I purchased tickets online back on September 16th for December 27th. I had just left my abusive husband and took my daughter out of the situation. She was doing good until he started to try to take her.. then she became suicidal. September was terrible, and so wanting my 11 year old to just be an 11 year old and to get her mind off her horrible father, I bought the tickets for her and I for Disney.

I am a single mother, teacher, with no child support.. so the tickets were expensive and not something typically I'd buy.. but I did it for my daughter.. to give her something to look forward to..

So then I buy tickets to fly down to LA, so we can use these tickets for Disneyland that I bought in September..
Here's what happened.

We left our non Disney hotel that was less than 6 miles away and it took us 2 1/2 hours to get into Disneyland. 2.5 hours to travel less than 6 miles. Why? Because you all have the worst set up for getting into the park and parking. I have several suggestions for you regarding this issue that could solve your problems with this.

The second issue.. so we park in Disney Parking and it is a 40 minute wait for the tram, so we have to walk about a mile to the Disney Park.
We then get to stand in crazy security lines.. why you have less than 20 people checking thousands, is beyond me.. but totally ridiculous.. that was another 30 minutes..

We then get through the second security check with the metal detector, that only took 15 minutes..

then we get to stand in the lines with our tickets to enter the park.. after 30 minute we get to the front of the line and our tickets don't scan!

we have to wait 10 minutes for them to get this guy who tells us that our money was refunded? or will be refunded? What the heck?

We are then rudely redirected to the ticket lines.

Now it already took 2.5 hours to get to the park.. 10 minutes to walk in.. 40 minutes to get through security. 15 minutes through the metal detector, and then 30 minutes to get through the entrance line to be rejected and put into the ticket line.

We already wasted 4 hours.. my daughter who is battling depression and suicide, is discouraged, and having sugar lows to boot.

I wait 30 minutes in the ticket line to get to the front of the ticket line and I complain to the ticket person about.. Why don't the tickets I bought in September work? Can they verify the refund.. and when and why did this occur?
The ticket person goes and gets a "supervisor" who is rude and just says.. "well what do you want me to do about it?"

*sigh*

I don't know.. some compassion? Some compensation for our wasted time? How about some verification of the refund before I rebuy the tickets?

I have never been treated so poorly.

We left our hotel at 8:30, and by the time we got in it was 2! That is unacceptable!

All the rides had 2 and 3 hour waits.. so by the time we got in.. I got to take my daughter on no more than 5 rides.

I can't believe I paid over 800 on flying down, 300 on a hotel, and then 400 on a rental car.. all to go to Disney and what was the point? 5 rides and being treated rudely?

Not only will we never go to Disneyland again, but I will be sure to blog about my experience with everyone else.

I will add, I grew up in Florida and went to Disney World in Orlando every year.. and never had this problem … this was my first and last time with Disneyland.

You need to reevaluate your systems, and yes, I'd still appreciate some compensation.

I was taking my daughter down there after a very hard and sensitive year.. only for her and I to be treated like crap.. I expect more of Disney.

What a horrible experience.

I can tell you if all had gone smoothly youd be lucky to get on 5 rides! Its a racket but plenty of people lining up for it.
