Diamonds International is a fraud-overpriced, ripped off

On December 06, 2023 around 4:30 pm, came by cruise, I went in to Diamonds International at Nassau Bahamas. I wasn't plan to buy anything, just take a look. After I showed my new purchase of a $200 tanzanite bracelet on other store, a young lady introduced me to this tanzanite bracelet (Receipt#[protected], I paid $4400, Carat Weight 18.97 made with silver). The bracelet was too big, so she offered to have 2 stones removed and made into stud earrings. I felt that's lovely recommendations, but I said I do not have that money to buy it. Then their manager Paul M. came try to push to purchase. He first say we can finance with monthly payment only $367/month. Then he got me to filed up an application with TD Bank. Few minutes later, he told me that wasn't proved (that was a surprise because my credit scored 820+, and I have never been rejected before). Then he said maybe it just a mistake, when you get home you contact with them to clear it. I was hesitating, he continue to push: "Our store is closing by 5, you still need to make earrings...". "We just use your credit card to complete purchase, when you get home and get TD approval, you will go monthly payment..." I am not willing to give them credit card and said "I not sure if there were foreign charges on my credit card". He respond " there were no foreign charges, because $1 US = $1 Bahamas. After took 3 stones for earrings and pendant (that wasn't done- told no bolt at store?), He finally put the bracelet on my wrest. I was pressured to finish the purchase. When I walked out the store, it was way passed 5pm, store wasn't closing. At night of the same day, after I took the bracelet off for shower, it could not put back because defect clasp-could not lick to lock. I never able to wear since that first time toke off. Next day, I did report and showed to ship shopping guide Hanna, She told me to contact DI directly. She could not do any nothing.

When I returned home, I checked internet realized I was ripped of more than 50% of price. I called and emailed Paul and DI customer service representative Abigail. I want return and refund the bracelet. But, with back forth email, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. They told me "no buyer's remorse" - means no return, they were only able to consider repair or exchange (I can't imaging what they will give to me for exchange - I am totally lost trust with them). How could you not let unsatisfied customer to return the product? Itself proved Diamonds International is definitely a dishonest company with low integrity sales people, they were crooks. I will never go into a DI store again, also I write this want let others to realize that DI is a scam, a fraud!

I regret that I did not do a research before go to DI. Now I end up with unable to pay credit card and disgusted, unhappy holidays. After research, I see so many complains like mine about DI. And, I saw DI rep's response. None of customer satisfy resolved their request-return and refund. System put "solved" automatically after certain time no activities, that's really a jock!

Claimed loss: $4400

Desired outcome: Return their defect product and get full refund
