devon rex cat review: sold sick kitten

Regarding the complaint about the kitten purchased for a little girl in Louisville. I am her dad's mother. I bought this kitten for her from Marian Gooding dba Neon Cats. To make a long, sad story short...Ms. Gooding sold us a kitten with Feline Infectious Peritonitis and ringworm. Sadly, Hermie had to be euthanized at around seven months. Every measure was taken to save Herman's life. He was treated at the most highly regarded vet clinic in the area. When contacted regarding Hermie's condition, Ms. Gooding denied any responsibility for it. Hermie was never around any other cat but the "Neon Cat" cats. Ms. Gooding even accused our fine vets of killing Hermie! It seems that Ms. Gooding, dba Neon Cats, is running nothing more that a kitten mill. Steer clear of her business. Several thousand dollars were spent on Hermie's purchase price, shipping (in the passenger cabin, in hand) cost, and vet bills. Ms. Gooding indicated on her web site that she offered a replacement kitten for any sick kitten. Not so. She is running a mill. Research her and read all of the complaints. You will be spared lots of heartache. There are many reputable cat breeders out there. Buy with your head...not your heart!
