I recently joined DPS VK with lots of hope of getting a good environment that is conducive for my mental growth. As the school has a lot of value since it is a part of the DPS franchise and one of earliest DPSs to be established, i hardly ever doubted its reputation.I had decided to leave my previous school only because i thought that the faculty of this school might be really good and will also provide a lot of opportunities at various things.
But my impression about the school totally changed when i actually joined it and got to experience life there.I during my school life have changed over 8 schools since my dad's job has a transferable job, and from my experience all i can say is that, it is one of the worst schools. It is not a school which lives up to the it's reputation, but a school which is surviving on the reputation that has been created by its sister branches.
The reason that it manages such good results is that lot of new children who are really good in academics join the school in 11 class. They generate a lot of vacancies in 11 class, nearly doubling its strength. So what the scenario is like finally is that, they don't have to invest much in these good students and in spite of their low efforts, people get good marks because a person who has been getting good marks since he was a kid would not let the environment effect his marks and would not lower his self-esteem.This way the school's reputation is held high and people keep joining it by seeing the school's earlier results.

Not just DPS, many top schools in Delhi do this practice. They remove average or low performing students in 10th Class and double the strength in 11th Class.

10th and 12th Exams are board exams hence they are very important for school's reputation.

Ramjas School Pusa Road even uploads the TC of students they removed on their website.

Yeah, I totally agree. You have stated some valid points. I suggest you to post this on a blog or website so that people get to know the reality of such an institute. Using previous results, that too which is not because of the school's effort, portrays the cowardliness of the school and how it is desperate to continue on a fake reputation. Even once, if new eleven grade students do not join the school then DPS Vasant Kunj would be left stranded. Their true face will come out and people will stop trusting the institution. What I want people to know is that we must not make decisions just by analysing the history, but we should also consider actually researching and getting to know more about the personal nature of that specific issue. If you don't, you will regret it in future.
