I rented an apartment from this estate agent last year. None of the items on my list of flaws were seen to, even though I stipulated that I would not pay a deposit until such things were rectified. We renewed our lease by 6 months in Feb this year, and on moving out at the end of this, the landlord is baffled as to our departure and refuses to return our hefty deposit as the agency never notified him about our leaving. They deny all communication with myself regarding the end of the lease and take no responsibility for our deposit. During our stay, the landlord was also attempting to sell the flat and whenever they wanted to show the place to potential buyers, Jane was rude and abrupt in 'requesting' (read: demanding) that we be home to let her in or leave keys.

I will never rent a property from this agency again and am mystified as to how they are a successful rental agency. I would also not entrust my property to them. Beware!

    My husband and I had requested to view a property today which we agreed would be at 5pm. We made arrangements at work to leave early so we would make the viewing on time. Unfortunately the traffic in sandton central was a nightmare even though we had left early enough and were literally a road away from the complex.i sent a text to jane advising we were stuck in traffic and she responded saying (these are the actual texts)5:04pm "Let me know when u get here then i will come up to the apartment". She then msged 5:18pm"How far away are you? Could meet u at 8 am" my husband and I have full time Jobs, how do you meet at 8 in the morning? I responded and apologised for the delay, advising we couldn't make the viewing at 8am but can reschedule if this was ok with her. At 5:24 I smsed to advise we were leaving sandton city - note the complex is in the next rd. 5:26 "5:30 now"was the reminder I received. I replied and apologised for the delay and Again asked if we could reschedule as I did not want jane waiting for us. 5:36 I smsed to say we were in the complex. I grabbed my son and took the lift to the 7th floor. Knocked on the door and there was no answer. The next text I received "40 mins late is a very big ask i live in Fourways and have terrible traffic to go home in. See u Saturday 12.30 . Please advise if that will work for you or is 1 pm better Jane
    My husband and I were appalled. The traffic was unforseen in sandton central. We have viewed many properties before with much more reputed agencies and never have we ever been treated this way. We once travelled to bryanstan to view a property in midweek traffic, we were running late and the gentlemen we dealt with was an absolute pleasure to liase with. He kept calling to see if we were ok and actually waited for us and greeted us with a smile when we finally met. Now I'm not saying Jane should have waited after I advised twice to reschedule because I could see the traffic was barely moving. I sent jane the ffg text "I do sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. These are circumstances out of our control. In light of the inconvenience caused my husband has elected to decline the viewing. Thank you" and the response I received at 7:02 pm was "Thats your choice you should warn a person when you are running 40 mins and make alternative arrangements. I have just got home now 7.02pm". The attitude and lack of professionalism is shocking. Would never want to deal with this agency or individual again. Disgusted.
